Hello JJM1 - All our brushes are considered “soft.” The ADA recommends soft-rated bristles because harder-rated bristles could potentially harm the enamel layer. Didn't realize "compact" meant child-size brush head...it feels stiffer than larger head as well as I prefer larger head.

Hello JanevH - Although it is smaller than some toothbrush heads, it does not make it any less effective. If interested in a full-size brush head, look for part number SFFB-2EW (white) or SFFB-2EB (in black).

I bought these so someone else could use my waterpik. Works great as mine has a silver ring and the replacements do not helping us to keep them separate.
