Very happy with my purchase. The drive is fast, and performs well. The Western Digital website had software that made transferring data from my old drive very easy. The sale price made this drive even more attractive.

These are the best hard drives (non solid state) drives you can get right now. Very reliable, great performance, and the longest warranty. I think the new WD blues are the same drives now, with a 3 year warranty instead.

Lots of storage space obviously. When I'm low on space for my SSD I can move games to the hard drive and it runs them well. Slower than the SSD for sure but for a hard drive it does well. Gets the job done.

HDDs have come a LONG way. This is quiet enough that I do not hear it over my fans when loading games. I needed extra room for more games on my PC (SSD for boot) so I bought this and couldn't be happier.

This drive is really fast and quiet. Computer boots up much faster than the 5 year old WD black 2TB drive. Maybe the technology has improved since then? Also, I used the free WD drive cloning software to clone the old drive to the new drive. Very nice! I actually bought two of these drives and made both of them bootable. I mainly use one drive on a daily basis and the other is used as a backup drive. I don't do gaming though.

this hard drive is one of the fastest mechanical hard drives out there. Not as fast as an ssd but you get more storage than a comparably priced ssd

I replaced an older model of WD hard drive with this drive after it ran for over 8 years, specifically because of my confidence in WD quality. Setup was very easy. I'm very pleased with the disk performance, making my entire system appear to run much faster and quieter. I am not a gamer but am a power user in other ways making the higher performance of this drive very welcome. I highly recommend this WD Black drive as a replacement or additional capacity in a desktop unit.

WD drives are my go to brand for my computer repair business. When my clients want to upgrade storage size AND speed I recommend the Black Performance sata drive.

This is an upgrade from my 300GB Blue that I had been using for a long time and since I needed more space, this was a no brain er. Speed and space on the same drive is a win win.

Whether your playing video games or just wanna archive files. I'd definitely recommend this brand and model. I have an old one that's a few years old and still going strong.

Completely seamless. My original hardrive went bad, this drive was so easy to setup. The original was a different brand and made lots of noise when working, this one is absolutley silent.

Was replacing an original OEM Seagte drive that began to fail. No Segates were available, so I picked up this WD and it is very fast. Love the 5 year warranty from WD. Highly Recommended.

This is the second one of these I have bought in the past year. So far so good but for the money WAY MORE storage capacity and warranty from a good company.

The drive was simple to install in the desktop case. It worked perfectly and we had the operating system installed in no time. It is quiet (the old drive made noise) and fast.

Replace the hard drive in my dell desktop. Was easy to install and was up and running in no time. I didn’t need more than 1tb of space so this was ideal for my situation.

I had looked at buying a WD Black drive for quite a while. I own a 1TB WD Blue Drive but I finally ended up just buying a 1TB WD Black drive just to save some cash rather than pay for the higher cost of a 2TB WD Black Drive. I can't say I see too much difference in real world uses between the WD Blue vs the WD Black, such as what I mainly bought it for which is gaming. I would recommend a 1TB WD Blue Drive if you are looking into 1TB storage but otherwise the higher capacity WD Black drives are very worth the money, since WD Blue Drives above 1TB slow down to 5400 RPM meanwhile the WD Black Drives above 1TB retain their 7200 RPM.

Bought this as a storage drive in my gaming PC build. Fairly decent speeds and quiet operation. I haven't had any issues so far. Install was straight forward.

I bought this for a client's desktop and replaced the old outdated one that wasn't working. WD gives great performance and warranty on the black hdd.
