I bought this as a boot drive. Far bigger then I needed but for the money and 5 yr. Warranty, well worth it. I have been buying WD drives for years with only 2 drives that failed.

I'm very pleased with my new 1TB WD Hard Drive,... easy to install in my Dell PC. Love the high transfer rate when moving large files. It was just what I needed, size and performance and at an affordable price,... Thx Best Buy!

Was confused as to what I needed, however the salesman helped me to decide on the Black because it was faster. The Black was smaller in size, but made up for the difference by being very fast. My computer screams now!

Never had a bad experience with WD black drives. I liked it so much I bought a second shortly after getting this one. They are durable and reliable which is what you want from a hard drive. Highly recommend them.

purchased to install Linux on my parents older computer after their hard drive failed. worked without any problems, they are happy with Mint Linux instead of Windooze 7

An excellent drive at a normal price. If one is buying a hard drive, WD Balack Edition is the only logical choice. I've been using WD Black edittions for many years. They are fast and reliable.

I love this line of hard drives from WD. This is the reliable workhorse of days gone by that runs and runs without fear of failure. I am so glad they are providing 5 year warranties.

Was getting errors during backups telling me I had bad blocks on my primary hard drive. Luckily was still able to backup and restore onto this new larger drive. Really saved the day before a complete hard drive crash.

This is a great drive to use for storing and accessing those files on the fly! Black drives from WD are the best go to for performance to dollar ratio when looking for something on a budget!

Great hard drive. What can you say, Western Digital hard drives are the best. They have a good warranty also. Fits perfect in my computer. Also has fast data transfer.

I bought two of these 1TB drives and mirrored them together on a Windows 10 PC. I use them for large Photoshop files and it works great! Obviously not as fast as a solid-state drive, but it’s very fast.

This is the drive to buy for long term performance. I have bought 30+ of these drives over the last 5 year's without a failure. This is my go to drive when using 7200 RPM drives in servers.

With SSDs really being the go to drives for speed, these mechanical drives do give quite a bit of performance with the additional help of storage.

Purchased this as my computers hard drive started failing. Luckily was able to transfer all my data to this new drive. This unit sped up my computer's operation!

The black series of WD hard drives, for a Win10 PC that acts as a server in a business, always on environment - much better protection for their data than the blue WD version. Also longer warranty

I always, ALWAYS get Western Digital and recommend more so than Seagate. When I can, I get WB Black because it's a high performance Drive, and so it lasts longer and reads/writes faster.

Whenever I shop for a drive I usually end up with a WD. I haven’t had many issues with them so far. We installed this one in a server and it’s been running well.
