Picked this up to serve as a recording destination for iPhone, and other secondary and tertiary cameras, while on a documentary shoot in San Francisco. This little guy performed exceptionally well, only ever giving me trouble once (and it was my fault because I assumed iPhone automatically formatted new drives when detected). Offloading footage, provided you have a reader/way to do so, was a breeze, and the transfer speeds were very good. I didn't run any tests, but I didn't notice it being slow by any stretch. In 2025, I feel like we know good SSDs and bad ones, and WD, in my opinion, is one of the good ones. I don't have a negative thing to say about this drive -- except that I only picked up one (and the 1TB version, at that!).
