I am using this in my HP Omen laptop. It works well, and runs less hot than the Samsung NVMe 1TB. The speed is good as well. I do recommend this.

Lightning Fast and Fairly priced for 2020/2021 ($135ish for 1 TB) Cant go wrong with this or the Samsung's. Get whatever is cheapest at the time!

WD has become my go to brand for NVME ssd, as they're comparable to the pricier Samsung ones but at a more affordable price. Real world performance between the Samsung and these are not noticeable at all, but more importantly WD has a longer track record of building reliable and durable storage drives, which can become more important for an ssd these days. Easy to install, but this depends on the motherboard and/or laptop, rather than the drive itself. Just make sure you've got the right screw for the specific mobo/laptop, as the ssd does not come wit one.

I've had this SSD for almost a year now and I have really enjoyed it. Booting to windows takes about 10-15 seconds (On my old 8 year old HDD it took like 2-3 minutes) so it's obviously a lot faster The only knock I have on this is that it's a little pricey (I bought it for $115, tax included). Also it doesn't come with an M.2 screw so keep that in mind when installing. Also check your motherboard type because some motherboards remove the last 2 numbered SATA ports when installing an M.2 SSD

Got it on sale, Installed it on my HP omen 2020, Super fast and super reliable as always from WD, would buy again actually when needed.

Fast drive at good price. Worth every penny. No need to spend extra for pcie 4 ssd unless you really want to try something new.
