Fast SSD

For 90% of users though these drives are basically indistinguishable in every day tasks and gaming from a SATA SSD, but if you actually utilize the drive at full speed it's pretty great.

Windows now boots in under 5 seconds

It was a bit challenging because I had to do a bios update for it to work properly but wow windows boot so much faster now and the system runs super smooth. I'm not seeing the 100% disk usage issue anymore after moving to a SSD

This particular drive has been completely reliable and transfers very fast, and I would not hesitate to recommend it as either a boot drive or as supplemental storage.

Memory Expansion in a Pinch

But worth it to expand useable memory and keep those SATA ports open for future use.

FAST AND FUNCTIONAL - BUYING A SECOND ONE

Absolutely worth it. The increased speed makes my games less choppy. It is not the best, but it blows the doors off the SSD that comes with most laptops. After installing on a Windows PC remember to go to disk management and initialize the drive.

I have WD Black for my desktop, PS5, and now my laptop and they have all worked amazing. I’ve been a Samsung guy for years, but WD has been very reliable and this SSD won’t disappoint. Bought it on sale too. Highly recommend
