WD - Black SN750 NVMe SSD 500GB

Haven't had it a long time and haven't ran any speed type tests or realized any type of issues, Yet. For my use/purpose and knowing that these type of drives are fast/faster than any mechanical drive ever will be is good enough for me. I've been in I.T. a very long time starting off my career with a 80286 10mhz, 40mb (Yes, mb) Seagate Hard drive Personal Computer. Whatever computer hardware produced today that’s fast will be faster tomorrow, so I don't worry too much about Nano Seconds, or 10's of thousands of Read/Writes before you can blink of an eye.

Very good for OS

I heard good things about WD_Black and felt like it would be a good boot M.2 (operating system and heavily used applications). Still in the process of building the computer, but with test runs it is working great with speedy turn on. 500g might be a little much for a boot drive but i have extra space for whatever i need.

WD SSD

Windows boots in seconds instead of minutes. My last SSD was 1TB Seagate Firecuda which began overheating and became corrupted. I like the supplemental monitoring software which provides SSD function stats. I use this SSD primarily for Windows and backup HDD and smaller SSD for large games and software.
