Faster than the ssd

Other than that the performance is great and read/write speeds are noticable faster than even my SSD.

Great Way to Speed Up my Computer!

Switching from a HDD to a SSD was one of the items on my list to upgrade. With my experience with WD from prior purchases, the WD Black 500GB SSD was an easy choice. And to date, this has not disappointed. Easy setup, quick read/write speeds and now my computer boots up much faster.

Immediate difference loading into windows and games. The WD app is decent and kind of gives a new look I wasn't anticipating, my sons loves seeing the performance through it. Overall worth the price of $99 for the speedy load times compared to a 7200 rpm hdd.

I went from a heart mechanical drive to the SSD. MIT student but associate didn’t realize what I want it and I had to come back to replace it and get another one. I apologize for his superiors decision. Overall I’m happy.

Replaced a spin HDD and has resolved all slowness issues. Beware of using Aomei to clone your current drive. Use Acronis which WD provides for free on their site and follow this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JV43dmhsQS4&t=478s Now go buy this!

Say goodbye to speeding rust

Files transfers are outstanding when using transferring to a flash based devices. This also redefines how fast internet web pages and sites pop up websites. Paid $55 for 500 Gigabytes for great to pass up.

Much faster than HDD with Optane

I had the Geek Squad make this my primary drive and leave the HDD in as a data drive, and it is so much faster than the HDD with an Optane module. I could not go back to a HDD C drive after this.

A Great SSD

I remember we only had an HDD, it was slow AF. Ever since I bought an SSD, my brother liked it a lot. He was kind of not caring at first, now he wants it on every laptop/pc he buys. Just anything but an HDD.

Pretty good price for the speed

I went with Amd Ryzen 5800k and Nvidia 3080 which is a great combo. Halo Wars 2, Star Wars Battlefront, COD Cold War, Star Fallen order look amazing in 4k. I will upgrade in the future to Gen4 nvme

Didn’t work out for me but still good

Unfortunately, the laptop just isn’t a great laptop (5000 series) and it didn’t help much. I don’t think it was due to the product not being good, because it did run a lot faster initially, I suspect the things I needed kept on there and just the laptop not being great to begin with, we’re the culprits. It was still worth trying before replacing other components or the laptop entirely. Ended up getting an apple product instead and love it!

Installed in just a few minutes, rebooted and recognized. Perfect and super fast transfer speeds. Makes editing 4K video a breeze. Got it on sale too, sometimes you have to be patient and buy it on sale.

The WD hard drive install was simple and easy. Ultimately, returned this drive because the overheating was a problem with the battery and updates, but I would definitely purchase again and maybe buy the upgraded 1TB memory next time.
