I'm actually using this as a boot drive and it works quite well, although I've had some weird crashing that I can't be sure is the ssd. Overall a good purchase.

The reason I am giving 4 stars is that I don't feel that there is enough value per dollar. Returned for a WD Blue SN550 1TB m.2 SSD. In side by side comparisons, when it comes to gaming, the Blue will actually load games faster than the Black SN750.
