Customers are saying

Customers praise the BLACK SN750 500GB Internal Gaming SSD PCIe Gen 3 x4 NVMe for its performance, affordability, and ease of installation. Many reviewers highlight the fast boot times and ample storage capacity for the price. While some users noted that the drive can get warm under heavy use and may have compatibility issues with older systems, the positive feedback on speed and value outweighs these concerns. The overall experience is largely positive, making it a popular choice for gamers and other users.

Bought this SSD (x2) as the base storage for my first try at a personal desktop build, Very happy with this product. Very sturdy component. I paired this with the following: ASUS TUF X570 MB, AMD Ryzen 5 3600, (2) Corsair Vengeance 3600 Hz RAM, EVGA GeForce 1660 SC Ultra, Corsair 650W power, and Corsair H60 AIO all wrapped in an NZXT H510 Elite case. Overall very happy with the SSD and how it compliments my mid-grade build. Plenty of space, easy to install and system recognized it immediately. One runs my standard storage and the other is space for a server. Although not the largest in capacity, the M.2 500Gb for the price cold not be beat. Absolutely would recommend for anyone looking to build a modular/affordable PC that isn't screaming for extra storage space.

Very fast m.2 drive and the price was on point. Only complaint is I need to buy another one that is bigger lol. I highly recommend buying one of these drives especially if you are a gamer.

    Moving to SSD

Over the years, the computer industry has been finding ways to increase performance while keeping the power needs of the components down. The traditional hard drive (HDD) is dead when it comes to raw performance, but alive and well when it comes to needing massive storage needs. Yet another "form factor" was needed for the crowded space of SSD. We had IDE for a long time, we moved to SATA versions 1, 2, then 3. Then we tested PCI-E and settled on a form of it that goes by the name NVMe. Let the confusion continue, but I believe the M.2 (M dot 2) is here to stay. It offers over 2.5 gigabytes per second in both reading and writing to the SSD. It will not slow down. This was one of the best buys of the season; especially as the pricing for these products continue to decline.

This internal SSD is a great addition to my tower’s storage. It was easy to install and the price are fine. WD has a good reputation for making SSD as I have purchased various WD internal and external drives in the past.

This drive works well. It installed with one small screw. I used WD Acronis software to move my operating system from the old drive to this drive with no problems. The drive is NVME fast with no noise from it.

This is a great deal when it’s on sale. PCIE gen 4 is here but that just means gen 3 products will be cheaper. This is great even if you aren’t a gamer faster boot times and hardly any low performance. Great bootable nvme.

Very very fast boot drive. I'm getting over 3400 MB/s read and 2700 MB/s write speeds on this hard drive. My laptop boots in about 10 seconds and it has made a noticeable improvement when I'm using programs like Photoshop.

Tested nearly every NVMe SSD on the market for speed and consistency over the past year and the SN750 stood out from the crowd. It offers consistent read and write speeds that hold up with larger file sizes. Loaded my games directly onto this drive and it definitely boosted load times and decreased my number of crashes/freezes/glitches while gaming in VR. I don't have quantitative data on those measures but I can say I have noticed far less frustration with loading new VR games and the game play is just smoother and requires less restarts/reloads. Running with a MSI Pro Mobo, i7 10th gen, 32GB ram, and dual SN750 (one OS and one for games).

Very fast hard drive. The benchmark did hit 3Gbps. In real life data transfer from M2 to SATA, I get about 400mb average. Peak hit over 500mb. At one time from SATA to M2 data transfer it hit peak 1.2Gb then drop.. Took about 20sec to transfer a 4Gb folder. I read others in review about cloning from SATA to M2 was a nightmare. I followed others advice and change my SATA setting to AHCI in bios first and make sure it is boot fine with my current SSD. I had to clone like twice because of Dell system (too many partitions). Trail and error.. I got it up and running. without reinstall windows. I use this drive for my video edition of my game play, the rendering is much faster and shorten the wait time.

I just upgraded from Samsung Evo 850 2.5" SSD to this WD SN 750. The difference is noticeable. Faster than my old SSD about 6-7 times. Also, it is not required cables to operate so my build looks very clean.
