    I’ve had good performance from Western Digital products so I selected the Black SN770 for my latest pc build. The performance and reliability has been first rate, I couldn’t be happier with the SSD. The price at BestBuy was great and, because it was over Christmas, I opted to have it shipped instead of picking it up at the store. The SSD arrive very fast so I was able to complete the project on time.

    Love it. Great transfer rate, super easy to use. Confused when I first installed it due to it coming up as a realtek though instead of WD black. Using in docking station for Mac mini. Sped the system system up after installation.

    Fast in every use case, this is an excellent value at current prices. Coming from their budget Gen. 3.0 drive, this blows it away. Game loading times have been cut in half. Most file transfers are the same if not better, due to the random read and write speeds of this drive. There is a higher wattage "game mode" you can activate on these with WD software, but benchmarks don't seem to justify using it. If you know for a fact you won't use the Gen. 4.0 capability, you can get away with using a competitor's Gen. 3.0 drive for a little less - just don't go budget mode. The slowdown isn't worth it.

    Surprisingly fast for a Dramless SSD. Usually runs around 70 Celsius when I'm running a game off of it.
