    This is a decently sized SSD that is reasonably fast and I installed it in a notebook that previously had a 128gb SSD and 500gb old school 2.5” drive. Installation was quick, added some heat tape to protect the SSD and the computer, and recovering old data from the 128gb drive took about 45 minutes and it was good to go. With 8GB ram on my computer, rendering video and saving on the SSD was quick. This computer I don’t use for gaming much, other than solitaire or Angry Birds, but didn’t have any issues. Speed isn’t there for PlayStation 5 usage, so I’d recommend going the 850 route for that. But for a really good laptop upgrade, this is really a good way to go. My windows 10 booting speed went from 2 minutes to 38 seconds. Not bad at all. The performance seemed steady on all the benchmarks, and it didn’t heat up too bad even with lots of video rendering. Overall a solid performer at a respectfully budget price. I have a few more “retired” laptops that I might resurrect with a few of these. It’s amazing how updating one little part can completely renew a “junker” pc that was top of the line 4 years ago.
