I had my reservations when I first received this drive as I went in blind on the SN750 SE. It’s not terrible, and does what it’s supposed to do just fine, but it won’t blow you away. In my case, I really just needed a drive for a new desktop and having an older sn650 daily driver in a machine I built back in 2016, I was willing to give it a shot. The plus to it was the hyped game they bundled with these drives as it solved 2 purchases I wanted to make in that bundle. That drive achieved about 3100MBps, which for me is plenty. The SN770 on the other hand has achieved a comfortable 5200MBps Read and 4900MBps Write. During benchmarks, it managed to get fairly warm which is to be expected, however my motherboard comes with a pair of M.2 heat sinks that dissipates heat quite well. But those were never applied here. It may have fared better here. Running a game off the SN770 resulted in more normal temps. Moving small files resulted in bursty speeds but moving a large file resulted in slower write speeds. Specs are pulled from a system utilizing a MSI MPG B550 GAMING CARBON on Windows 11 Pro. There is so many different companies out there selling NVME Drives but if you are looking for a reliable and well trusted brand, you can not beat Western Digital and these WD_Black Drives are amazing for gamers. The Software to manage the drive is great and easy to use. There is some faster models than the SN770 but this thing is fast and you will not notice a difference when it comes to gaming and above standard uses.

I purchased this to upgrade my laptop storage from the factory 512 gb. The speeds are great I can play games with this SSD with barely any load times. Easy Install and great performance.

I did a lot of research on this specific drive before purchasing it and after a bit of my personal use with using it; I can say that I was fully surprised by how good and reliable this drive ended up being, especially for smaller 13" and 14" laptops. Temps stay low and manageable, even under load and no heatsink/thermal pad installed. While I do trade off having DRAM, I do get more storage for the price. Which is worth more to me since in my use case, I value storage more than raw performance.

I'm a senior on a fixed income. My Laptop is only two+ years and I wanted it to run faster and hold more Jpegs. Instead of spending $1,200-$1,500 for a new laptop I was able to purchase a new hard drive for about $100.00. It was easy to install on my pc. Setting up the drive was easy, just needing some basic disk management skills. Much faster than my 2.5in sata ssd.

Its been almost 2 years still working fast no problems. Be sure to look up a video if youre not familiar with installing them.

Honestly got this trying to save money on the 1TB SN850P with heatsink for my PS5. Eventually I did upgrade just being the person I am but honestly, this worked perfect as well & I had no issues for the 2 months I had it.

I used this for an older Dell laptop so I was not looking for ultra fast speeds. It was just on sale and a great deal for this size drive. Installing was simple and no issue loading up a fresh install of Windows 11. Everything works as it should at top speeds for this aged motherboard. Packaging was basic but still don’t know why they can’t stop using plastic in such small things. I really wish that would go to something else that didn’t help ruin the environment we live in.

After extensive research and reading countless reviews, I decided to invest in the WD BLACK SN770 1TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 4 x4, and let me tell you, it has exceeded all my expectations.

Easy to set up and easy to use. I don’t think I can ever go back to using a hard drive ever again. The M.2 writes data so fast compared to my hard drives. For reference a 60 GB game took roughly 40min - 1 hour to finish downloading with the M.2 it took 10-20minutes. Only thing I wish it came with would be the fasteners.
