    Gen 4 m.2. Used for a game drive for me. Got speeds around 3500 read and 3000 write after a firmware update that you can get by downloaded the WD app for drives. I have war zone and halo infinite installed on the drive and it loads fast and doesn’t stutter. So I would recommend this.

    Western Digital always makes great data storage devices, and so their SSD internal drives are no different. I bought this to replace my 256GB that came in my Dell tower. I created an image of my 256GB SSD and installed this WD 500GB SSD and it was painless. Great company and great device.

    Simple install and fast performance. I did return it only because I exchanged the laptop for a different laptop that was more portable. During the time I used the drive, the performance was excellent. I highly recommend this drive.

    Purchased 2 separate drives to use as boot drives for 2 different machines. Have been queuin working fine for several weeks with no issues. Windows boot to login is under 10s from BIOS logo screen. Very much recommended

    Bought as an upgrade when upgrading a motherboard. New one had a gen4 m.2 slot and wanted to utilize the capable speed. Where the previous gen 3 was quick, this one is quicker.

    Overall quick SSD. Biggest issue is it crashes, BSOD (Blue screen of Death) on my desktop for gaming. Essentially I cannot use for that purpose. The ssd acts up with Hypervisor.

    As fast as advertised. I bought a PCIE USB C reader and used Macrium Reflect to image copy the old SSD to the new one. System boots and loads much faster.

    I have built many computers and used quite a few Western Digital drives, both mechanical and solid state. This SSD model (SN770) is a high quality unit and works flawlessly. I purchased this to replace a failing 2.5 inch SATA SSD .
