I was given a four year old Dell 380 with a 160 GB hard drive. The Dell was labeled as a Widows Seven but running XP. I found the W7 boot disc amongst the accessory disc/papers that came with the freebie. My local Best But had the WD - Mainstream 1TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive for Desktops in stock. GREAT PRICE. Easy installation with the quick mounts. Loaded the W7 boot disc and followed the googled installation guide displayed on my iPad. VERY EASY. It is nice not having all the unwanted programs slowing startup/shutdown etc.

Bought this as a backup and test hard drive when fixing computers and it works like a charm! Quickly installs Windows & programs and is super quiet. Works great as a boot drive or a dumping ground (when paired with a boot SSD) and has plenty of space for music, movies, and games. Buy it!

Bought this to increase my computer's storage space. Preforms faster than my old drive, but make sure you buy a 6gbps sata cable as one is not included with this Drive. Installed very easily and was instantly recognized by my computers.I can say I've have had no issues with it at all in the few months since purchasing it.

My computer hard drive failed and had have to have new one quickly. I installed this with no difficulty and it works great. I believe that this is running faster than the original that came with the computer but I don't have any data to show that this is the case. I would buy another if my other computer needs a replacement.

Only time will tell if a hard drive is a good one, unless it's a DOA, but I don't recall ever getting one of those. Bought this drive to replace a 320GB that got too small, and the installation was painless. Used my own copy of Acronis True Image to create a drive image onto the new drive using a second SATA cable, pulled the old drive out, buttoned up the computer, and smooth sailing so far. Plenty of room now, and the new drive is faster.

Works like it should, I didn't have any issues installing or my old laptops recognizing the hard drive. Next time will upgrades to ssd.

My initial experience is very good. The hard drive installed very easily after I cloned it from my old drive. It is quieter than my old drive. The capacity was more than enough for all my home videos and photos. The real question about these drives is how long they last before the unexpected failure.

I purchased this HDD to replace the original one that came with my computer with a clean install of Windows10. Everything worked smoothly and flawlessly. The drive is quiet and fast. Western Digital usually makes pretty good drives, and this one seems like another winner.

I purchased this as a replacement for my iMac that the hard drive died in. After about 45 minutes of work was back in business. Mac is a bit faster now with 3x the space of the original. Works great and I am very happy with it. Less than $50 and the iMac is like new again.

I purchased this hard drive for an hp computer that just crashed. I installed this drive and reinstalled the operating system with the recovery cds and it worked like a charm. Its quiet, my computer is fast and operating like a brand new computer. I'm very satisfied.

This drive was easy to install and it works great! I'm not tech savvy at all, but after reading the directions and watching a youtube video, I installed this drive all by myself in a HP slimline desktop. It works great and has more storage space than my original drive.

Before I bought this, I had the exact one from 2013 that I took out of an old HP desktop and when I was transferring it over to my low storage gaming pc. I broke the SATA port that connects to the motherboard. I bought this and it was the same one I had and it runs like I expected from WD and also performs like my old one before I totaled it. Simple short, if you want a hard drive to upgrade your pc, this is it, but if you need more performance, I recommend going to the WD Black Hard Drive than the WD Blue Hard drive, but for the majority of the people who wants the basic features and good speeds, go with this one.

April 2021: After a decade my old Seagate hard drive crashed while in use - Blue screen of death. So I purchased this Western Digital 1GB SATA drive model WDBH2D0010HNC-NRSN as a replacement. Price was right and BestBuy had it in stock on the shelf. Drive has been in operation a month to date. Formatted with zero errors. Speed is very good (6 Gb/s @ 7200RPM). Noise level is very low. 2 year warranty. Made in Thailand. Compatible with Win 8.1 and Win 10. Comes with 4 mounting screws and quick installation guide. This is a perfect replacement. Purchased this to replace a failed hard drive. Installed easily and the performance was what you would expect from a non-SSD drive. quiet and quick to install.

As expected WD met my expectations and gave me a great drive with good response time without a high price. This replaced a Seagate which died after only 27 months. Many computers in my use and have never had a WD drive failure.

Plenty of space for all my games, photos, movies, and files. The 7200 RPM drive speed is necessary for running game and 4k video. I have owned numerous Western Digital Blue drives and have yet to have one fail on me.

The hard drive performs solid for the price and is far more spacious than the old 500G drive I was using before. Definitely a noticeable performance improvement jumping to a 7200RMP drive from a 5000RPM drive as well.

No issue what so ever. Installed and up and ruining in minutes. Not the fastest speed transfer rats but works well. Easy to install windows or just filles. 1 tb large enought for all files and photos you could ever want .
