Customers are enthusiastic about the Blue 1TB PC Internal Hard Drive's performance, large storage capacity, and ease of installation. Many also praise its affordability and quiet operation. While some wish it included a SATA cable and offered a longer warranty, the positive feedback on speed, storage, and user-friendliness outweighs these minor drawbacks. The drive's compatibility with various systems is also frequently noted.

This drive is exactly what I needed to back up a volume on my NAS drive. Formatted easily and works like a charm. It was also an excellent value.

I purchased this WD 1TB SATA hard drive over a year ago because it was inexpensive, reliable, fast, and ideal as a back up drive. I placed it inside of a SATA to USB unit, formatted it, and placed files and images from my three computers onto it. It has worked flawlessly.

This is the third drive in my system and will be used primarily for holding movies and animations that I am making myself.
I've always found WD equipment to be reliable and actually funcition the way they are supposed to. The drive is quiet, and interfaced easily with the rest of my system. Though not as fast as a solid state drive, it was reasonable in price, and performs well beyond it's cost.. It was important for me to equip with "proven technology": for what I need to do.

So, it's a 1TB drive at 5400 RPM -- not the fastest drive alive, but certainly adequate for my aging Pentium-based PC. This was an easy drive to install but I did have to format it to NTFS to install Windows. My old PC is now humming along nicely and I have all the room I'm likely to need for my videos, pictures, music, documents... So far, it has performed flawlessly. It's plenty fast enough for my needs and runs quietly.

I bought this drive to replace a 1 TB drive that died in my 4 year old desktop computer. The drive was easy to install and I was able to restore the drive contents from backup. Everything is working well with this drive. It is fast and very quiet.

Needed to replace an aging 500Gb hdd for my desktop which is just a casual use and small gameplay. This was double the size and faster but didn't need anything more. Easy install, seamless transfer of data from old hdd. No problems at all, would definitely recommend for casual use pc.

I’ve always had good luck with Western Digital hard drives. Great build quality and fast search speed.
The 1TB offers a lot of space and excellent performance. Well worth the small price.

I needed some extra hard drive space and for the price, this could not be passed up. The only thing I wish for differently is that WD provided a SATA data cable with power option. This would make the install much easier and no additional purchases would have to be made. The drive is working great right now. It was SUPER easy to install and get the drive formatted. I would recommend and WD products at this point.

April 2021: After a decade my old Seagate hard drive crashed while in use - Blue screen of death. So I purchased this Western Digital 1GB SATA drive model WDBH2D0010HNC-NRSN as a replacement. Price was right and BestBuy had it in stock on the shelf.
Drive has been in operation a month to date. Formatted with zero errors. Speed is very good (6 Gb/s @ 7200RPM). Noise level is very low. 2 year warranty. Made in Thailand. Compatible with Win 8.1 and Win 10. Comes with 4 mounting screws and quick installation guide. This is a perfect replacement.

I bought this hard drive as a storage addition for my gaming PC, as my other HDD (WD Black series 1TB) has finally gotten about full. So, in a pinch for money, I settled for the cheaper WD Blue series. I've put mostly games on it, with some photos and misc programs mixed in. Surprisingly, it holds it's own very well in the face of a performance series such as WD Black, with load times being nearly identical with little to no difference behind those of a WD Black. It has identical RPM, cache size, transfer speed etc and I have noticed no issues whatsoever with it in the 2 months I've had it.
Pros:
-Relatively inexpensive
-Typical WD quality
-Has yet to catch fire and/or explode
Cons:
-None, really, unless you don't want the blue label to mess up your color coding.

As expected WD met my expectations and gave me a great drive with good response time without a high price. This replaced a Seagate which died after only 27 months. Many computers in my use and have never had a WD drive failure.

This drive was on sale when I got it and it has been well worth the money! Even at full price it's a great deal. Easy to install and format (if you're on a Mac.) I would definitely purchase another one of these, or maybe a 2TB.

I am using this to store my file backup data and 1 image copy for my Windows 10 computer with Samsung 850 pro 500GB SSD. Plenty of space and no reduction in system performance. Very quiet. On sale I only paid 40!

Works great. Only complaint is that it has only a 2 year warranty as opposed to the black version which is 5 year. Again, for the price you cant beat it

Bought this to add to my older existing WD Black drive for more storage. Sadly enough, this Blue drive stomps my Black drive in benchmarks. Nearly double the scores. It has been rock solid, no issues. Would definitely recommend.

It'a a good drive: it's quiet, reasonably quick, reasonably large, and hasn't had any issues so far (months, not years).
I got the WD instead of the Seagate, largely because I've had issues with Seagate in the past (click of death), not because of any detailed analysis.

A great general purpose HD. Good option for a storage drive with an SSD boot drive. 1 year warranty though but it wasn't expensive so it is easily replaced if it goes bad. But I had good luck wit WD drives.

This drive replaced a failing Seagate 3 TB drive. That drive was about a year and a half old. I read a lot of good reviews about this one and a really bad 40% failure rate one about the Seagate 3 TB. This drive is cool and quiet. I'm using Linux Mint 17.2 KDE. I'm going to limit desktops to 1 TB drives from now on.
