I haven't had any issues with the hard drive, and it is everything I expected. It's easy to install, and quiet and a great price for what you get.

The 8 year old main hard drive on my computer was having issues and needed to be replaced before it crashed completely. I purchased this drive as a replacement. It easily installed into an extra internal drive bay and was recognized immediately. I cloned my old C drive onto the new drive, removed the old C drive and have been using this new WD drive ever since. I use the computer every day and this drive has been working with no issues for over a year now.

I spent most of yesterday filling this hard drive up with my years of accrued files. All has gone well. Very quiet, very fast little drive. If this lasts for the regular use I intend for it, say for the next 6 months, I will buy one or more additional identical drives to accompany it in my system. By the way, I didn't study product reviews before buying because I came across it in the store and discussed it with the sales person, including going online to review the drive. Very helpful.

Bought to replace a failing hard drive with less capacity and speed; extremely happy with this one!

This item was installed due to impending failure of my original drive. Performs quietly and modest speed. I don't have a means to benchmark test this drive, but feel that it performs well for the average user.

I've always loved and recommended Western Digital HD and I've yet to be let down.This 1TB HD is great and running smooth in my newly built rig. I love the space that I have to where I can partition my hard drive and run 2 O/S and still have plenty of space between the 2. Could be slightly quieter but its not a huge gripe, because its not highly noticed.. I seriously would recommend this WD HD for any build from Desktop to Laptops and even game systems/consoles..

Bought the hard drive to replace one that had stopped. It was easy to replace my old one. The hard drive was instantly recognized and is quick. I use my computer for work, school and fun and the hard drive exceeds my expectations

I bought this hard drive to run in an Ivy Bridge Intel workstation as the Operating System drive. It installed fast, ran smooth, didn't cause any issues. It's quiet and stays cool. Overall, it seems like a solid little drive.

This Hard Drive is a big improvement compared to the one that was replaced. Read/Write is much faster and my system overall performance is better. Eventually, I will need to invest in a newer computer but for now I am pleased. Excellent price.

I had a hard drive failure in my main desktop and needed to work quickly to salvage as much data as possible before the drive ceased to work. A quick trip to Best Buy to pick up this Western Digital drive. I have always preferred Western Digital drives and have had the least failures with their drives. Easy install, cloning software, and good performance. Highly recommend these drives.

Had a hard drive die. This was inexpensive and very easy to install. Seems to be fast and quiet.

This is your basic 1TB hard drive. The price was reasonable and installation was simple. I didn't use the Western Digital software that was included with the disk so I can't comment on that. My previous "C:\" drive had been fried by a voltage surge and this was the replacement. Fortunately, I had a backup less than 24 hours old and was able to be up and running without much difficulty (but with a large dose of angst!).

Just plug in play as easy as that, works great. Use it for storage have SSD 4 operating system.

I purchased this for installing several games from Steam. I installed it, & Windows 7 64-bit recognized it immediately. I still have space for my music [60+ GB]. Maybe it's just me, but indexing seems faster also.

Unit runs quiet and seems to be fast have had no problems as of this Time. Good Value for size and speed.

Western Digital has been making hard drives a very long time, and are quite fast and reliable drives. Been working on computers over 30 years and have been had great experience with Western Digital. These drives will most likely outlast your computer. I will buy more for sure, here at Best Buy, which have awesome pricing and availability.
