I dropped my laptop while the hard drive was spinning and messed the thing up. After that it (the laptop) wouldn’t boot up. No moving parts in a solid state drive so knocking the laptop around won’t damage the drive.

I regularly use these when upgrading PCS and replacing crashed hard drives. For the price they are the best deal available, they are reliable and compatible with almost every brand computer. I never have problems getting the OS to load on these. They don't require any drivers for Windows As far as performance they offer a decent increase in speed over the factory mechanical drives. Out of the Dozen or more I purchased I've had no problems with any of them at this point. These make great drives for Dell small form-factor computers because they use very little power and are much more reliable than the laptop drives which commonly go out on that type of computer. I've tried other SSD drives with the small form-factor deals and found they were incompatible, undetected by the BIOS or required drivers for Windows to load.

REPLACED OLD HARD DRIVES WITH THESE WHICH GAVE MY OLD SYSTEMS ALOT MORE STORAGE AND LOOKS UP A LOT FASTER NOT HAVING TO SPIN TO LOOK FOR DATA.

good price, reliable and it loads games and whatever you have on the ssd at that time will run smoother and faster. Just all around better than the slow hhd drives which come in the xboxs internals until the series x/s come out.

I am perfectly happy with WD and Sandisk performance when it comes to basic reliability and compatibility. If I need the extra performance, I'd pay more and get the Samsung products instead. These are priced right for what they offer.

Made a 10 year old Sony VAIO usable again. I updated my old laptop from Win 7 to 10 using the MS site. I was surprised this was still available as an option to do without any cost. But my old 320 GB Samsung 5400 RPM hard drive in it was extremely slow and seemed to constantly be pegged at 100% with CPU at less than 20%. After installing this SSD, and performing a clean install of Win 10 (which was easier than I expected because it used my MS account logon to verify my copy of the OS), the PC boots quickly and works well. Now I'm waiting on the old Core 2 Duo processor with it running at 80%+, and the SSD is running at 5%. This was an inexpensive way to add a 3rd PC to our household that is now working and schooling from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Needed a cheap SSD to get my computer back up and running, and this beat out the rest by a solid $40. Comparable warranty period to the rest, runs the same, dunno what else to say about it. Not the biggest tech guy.

Very fast and easy to implement. Easy way to revive and old computer. Western Digital quality and reliability. Reasonable price.

Boots up fast and is big enough for everyday computers. Came fast and works better than other harddrives. I would buy again especially for the price.

Had an older laptop with a traditional physical hard drive. Took forever to boot up and was painfully slow. Replaced with this solid state drive and the machine came to life! I have purchased this SSD to replace an older hard drive in my HP laptop. This drive fit perfectly into the hard drive caddy and was quickly recognized. Reinstalling Windows was quick and painless. So far no issues noted with drive and Windows starts quite fast now in this old-ish laptop. Will recommend for people who want to get started with SSD's.

Used this to replace a hard drive for better performance. Laptop is very speedy now, with 8GB ram and this new solid state drive. This is the second WD SSD that I have recently bought from Best Buy. I only gave 4 stars as I haven't had them long enough to give a review on how long they last, but they operated just fine so far. I've found that I don't need much storage residing on the machine. I actually use USB drives to store the majority of my data files. FWIW... I use Linux Mint operating system on these laptops.

My 10yo laptop was slagging and was considering throwing it out and getting new one. After reading some reviews I decided to give it one last chance and upgraded the hard drive. The outcome is amazing ! It’s like brand new again! Cheapest way of getting new laptop!

I've only recently gotten into PC building and gaming and purchased this SSD to give my PC a boost and it now boots up in seconds! Gave some of my games a boost as well. Very easy to install and there are plenty of free cloning programs online to help with moving the OS to the SSD.

I bought this to replace my old laptop's HDD. This SSD is fast enough and has given my old laptop some new life. It runs much faster. Granted, this is not the fastest SSD I have ever seen, but it is plenty fast for a laptop to run windows and Linux without issue.

This little SSD is perfect and fast on USB 3.0. It runs perfect and has had no issues booting up by cloned macOS install for my laptop. If you need a small SSD for a boot drive and some apps, this is what I'd recommend.

We have upgraded all of our production computers to this SSD hard drive and they work great. Computer speed on our older systems have dramatically increased which is why we use this one.

This SSD is in the middle of Samsung SSDs and SanDisk SSDs... And when it comes to price, warranty, and reliablility...This is the one...Cheaper, same performance, and over all...better warranty...
