Great storage for the price but slow load time

My sole intent for this HDD was to upgrade my PS4. While the upgrade and download of all games were easy and straightforward. The speed of my load times are noticeably slower (5 sec load can now be 10-15 sec). Not a deal-breaker by any means, considering what I paid so I'm still overall pleasantly satisfied with my purchase. Hybrid is never recommended and SSD are considerably more expensive. Would only make a SSD purchase when the next-gen console releases.

Purchased this drive to increase a home media server capacity for a HTPC. It was decently reasonably priced for a 2.5" drive. It works well enough that I have no issues with its purpose. I would not recommend it as a primary drive or heavy use drive on a normal use PC as it's not very fast though, but it's great as secondary storage. CrystalDiskMark shows sequential reads of 96MB/s and writes of 116MB/s. Random reads and writes are slow as expected. About 1.2MB/s reads and 1.5MB/s writes, with Q=1 reads at only 0.4MB/s.

Bought this for my PS4 to replace an external adapter kit that housed a 2TB drive. The spin speed is only 5400RPM, slower than the 3.5" drive I was using but I find no issues with it. In some ways, it feels faster, snappier than the larger drive. PS4 OS works well with it and 2TB is a great capacity for the machine. I wanted to go full SSD but this was a great alternative. Machine is quite responsive with spinning platters. Appreciative customer.
