2TB drive, installs quickly, does exactly what it is supposed to do. Caught it on sale, was very happy with the price. Everything works as advertised.

This internal hard drive has a large capacity, installs easily and gets you up and running quickly. I purchased this drive as a second internal hard drive. It is fast and more than adequate

Want a great price to performance hard drive for mass storage? This is your best option. Plain and simple. Easy installation and no hassle adding it to my system for more storage.

I'm not sure about everyone else, but I always have tons of files that I don't need fast storage for, whether it's my downloads folder or old games I haven't played in years.
No use buying an SSD when a WD blue will do.

Picked this up as an internal backup drive for our desktop computer. As a backup, it works great. Plenty of room for our needs and extremely easy to install. As far as I know, this is a 5400rpm drive so I wouldn't recommend it as as OS boot drive, but using it as a backup or extra storage drive works out great.

I bought 2 of these, this seems to be a pattern for me. I tend to replace both drives in my server at the same time. This allows me to know my data is secure. This is the low end drive. As I was standing there looking at my choices 2 different store reps asked what I was going to do with them. As soon as I said I was putting them in a server that would be on 24/7 they both, independently, told me I should get this drive. Lower heat, less head parking, and overall longer life. Since speed was not an issue, this drive was the way to go. So far they have been perfect.

Purchased to replace a failing drive. Price was good for the capacity. So far the drive is working well. Hopefully it will last for a while. Last one worked for 3 years.

Works great, easy install. Great hard drive for the money. Worked well with Microsoft Windows. I recommend this drive for anyone who is looking to update their desktop computer.

I was in the market for a new hard drive to replace a 1TB Western Digital Blue internal hard drive I use to store documents and media (pictures, music, videos) because I wanted more storage capacity and my current drive is 10 years old and has almost 16,000 hours of run time on it (the drive still works fine)

This is an excellent large capacity storage device. Stable and faster than previous generations at the same rpms, this drive has very little in the the way of negatives, but if negatives are the reason you are reading this review, then here is one. The WD 2TB hard drive is a little loud spinning up and can ruin an otherwise silent computer system. Otherwise, it does exactly what it was meant to do and save data properly.

I purchased the 2TB model and it performs just as well as I thought it would. While it's only 5400 RPM, this 3-platter drive is almost 50% faster than the 2-platter 620GB 7200RPM drive that came with my computer due to the greatly increased capacity per platter (1TB @ 5400RPM > 320GB @ 7200RPM), so I'm very happy. This drive is a great value and, if speed is what you're after, pick up an SSD for your OS and applications, and put your user profile on a drive like this one (set up a junction point if you're a Windows user). All in all, it's a good purchase for the right purpose.
