The information provided 0.4" is incorrect, this is a 0.28" HDD. A lot of laptops and even ITX cases only allow a 0.28" HDD, so have that info incorrect can end up to dissuade client to get the HDD, like almost happen to me.

Work amazing ise it as a back up for my whole pc also have all my wife's picture from her phone on it

I bought hard disk drive this to replace a failed hard drive in a 2015 Mac Mini. It had a 1TB WD drive in it already, and all the store had in stock was this 2TB drive. The installation was easy, even though the mac mini is a bit tight to work inside of. The drive worked with the usual macOS disk utilities with no issues just like the original hard drive would. I used macOS's Internet Recovery to restore the OS as the mac mini does not have a CD/DVD drive in it. I was back up and running in no time at all. The extra TB of space doesn't hurt either.

I wanted to share this in case it might help someone else. My son's 1.5 year old PS4 had been slow, glitching, freezing, games crashing and (as he told me after all this) giving "data corruption" messages (classic hard drive failure). After much troubleshooting and even a full system re-initialization, it still wasn't working right and eventually would not boot. I decided that this pointed to a bad hard drive enough to go buy this WD drive and install it. I then downloaded the system installation files from the Playstation site onto a flash drive (read the instructions carefully, or it won't work) and once it was done, not only did it work, but the system FLIES! He says it never ran this good. He's able to play it, install games, etc... with no problems at all. Even better, he now has twice the storage he did before (2TB vs. 1TB). The instructions on how to download the files to a flash drive and how to boot into safe mode and re-initialize are all on the Playstation website and are very clear and easy. Just thought I'd share in case someone is struggling with this same problem.

I just purchased a new HP laptop with a 500GB SDD. I am a control system software developer and save the code for every system that I have written. This takes up quite a bit of space. I purchased a kit that allowed me to swap out the DVD drive and plug in this hard drive. It works like a champ. I did get tired of hearing it turn on and off so had to find a way to turn on the high performance mode that is now hidden in windows 10. I'm very happy with the drive.

**Hestitant to give a full 5-star review in a short time to any product, so will update if longevity proves this to be an excellent pick** Picked this up to swap out my PS4 HDD. Installation was super easy. I've enjoyed having plenty of extra storage on my PS4 - no more deleting and re-downloading games! Speed is pretty standard, maybe a bit faster than stock (to me, at least). Chose buying from BB over online or Amazon as there are a lot of fakes, refurbs, and junk out there. Prices up and down, but why take a chance on a crap clone. Worth the convenience for me. No issues so far, although it's only been about a month or so.

revived an old pc of mine. I have since installed Ubunto onto the drive. works well for a computer from 2010. Was easy to install. More storage than I need really. I think HDD's are going to make a comeback. are they really loud? I cant tell. you can fit so much more and there seems to be no end to the about. Petabyte (1000^7 terabytes or 1024^5 technically) is what comes next. at least i think that is correct.

Good price, reliable drive, holds all the files I needed, replaced old spinner drive

Not gonna lie, i was expecting it to be a full sized HDD and was surprised it was the size of a 2.5" SSD. However its small size is actually very convenient as i can mount it to the same mount intended for an SSD. Other than the size surprise it works perfectly well, it has a 2TB capacity and i use it for storing things like photos and personal videos and documents.

Easy to install and I now have 4X more storage vs the original HDD! I love my PS4 that I purchased at launch. The HDD that was in the original is ok but only has 500GB vs 2TB of this one (not to mention it is reasonably priced at $85!). Plus, if you research, you'd see Sony used relatively underwhelming HDD at time of launch. I highly recommend upgrading for more storage and more piece of mind! After all, PS5 is some time in the future but not soon enough! So plenty of gaming left on PS4 and do not waste your time downloading and deleting only to make room for next set of games etc.

I purchased this HDD for use with my gaming laptop. Most gaming laptops come with a SSD installed which is nice to use, but when it comes to game storage you need more space than what the pre-installed SSD can offer. Now you can upgrade the SSD to a size comparable to these SATA drives, but unfortunately you will be paying quite the premium for them. Overall if you are looking for game storage that won't break the bank, this is an excellent choice, however the loading speeds of the games will be slower than what you could expect from the SSD option.

Pulled old failed 1Tb out sipped in this 2Tb and W10 self installed after I connected my HP laptop to WiFi. It seems W10 is tagged to the computer not to the HDD so install was simple. Old failed 1Tb laptop HDD worked in a case was able to retrieve all files and just re loaded them in this 2 Tb laptop drive. Strange twice I re installed the old 1Tb HDD in the Laptop and twice the HDD failed. But in a case the old 1Tb HDD worked fine. Strange. So failed HP 1Tb original HDD failed in the laptop but was good in a HDD case. Highly recommend installing this 2Tb HDD in any laptop. 2Tb is won heck of a lot of space and is 100% faster loading at start up. Worth Every Penny.

This served me well. I needed additional storage for a home theater PC and this was the perfect form factor and capacity. I actually bought two, and so far I’m yet to experience performance issues.

Bought this one to add to my laptop as a games drive. I'm currently booting from a NVME drive. This one I have all my games installed and they load quickly and have not had any reliability problems so far. Install was easy, just had to partition and format.

Quadruple the storage from regular PS4 hard drive and very easy to do. Same size as the original hard drive, slightly faster and quieter but maybe to being brand new. Would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their PS4 at a very nice price.

simple to install ( like Geico says, "Even a caveman...) even though it's not a solid state drive, it's more than fast enough that I can't tell and the cost savings is pretty good. love having the extra storage space

been using western digital hd way way back... never had problems, now this no touch ramp tech that are being used on blue drives add peace to my mind.. right now I am using this as a backup for big music files in various format, and some personal files, I expect this to last like the ones I used in the past which to this day, are still working as good as before, except they have smaller capacity.. I use a docking hdd for backing up, which I also connect to a blu ray player and play the music through an amp and Stereo receiver and listen to uncompressed music which comes out excellent.. could not ask for anything more...
