I read reviews for PS4 replacement drive, and wow, it was VERY easy to swap and replace, took about 15 minutes. And it's been working perfectly, no issues as of yet, even seems a bit faster, but that's just me.

My sole intent for this HDD was to upgrade my PS4. While the upgrade and download of all games were easy and straightforward. The speed of my load times are noticeably slower (5 sec load can now be 10-15 sec). Not a deal-breaker by any means, considering what I paid so I'm still overall pleasantly satisfied with my purchase. Hybrid is never recommended and SSD are considerably more expensive. Would only make a SSD purchase when the next-gen console releases.

I needed a small drive to boot my iMac into an older version of the os, so I could play older Mac games. I made an enclosure and the drive worked out fine.

I bought this to replace the failing hard disk in my launch PS4. I didn't notice a decrease in load times with the higher rotational speed and larger cache compared to the stock drive, but it works and can hold most of my game collection without constantly needing to uninstall software to make room for something new.

I bought this for my PS4 Pro. I swapped this in place of the existing internal hard drive. Took less than 10 minutes to install it. Installing the PS4 operating system via UBS was a little finicky, but it had nothing to do with the hard drive. I am glad I made the switch

If you need longer term high capacity storage without high performance requirements this drive fits well. It runs generally cool and WD has better reliability than most. It's not for high write use like security/DVRs but for general pc storage it works well and is inexpensive.

Great price, packaged nicely. Lot's of storage for the games I keep telling myself I'm gonna play some day haha highly recommend WD if you're looking for a decent hard drive. Gotten both my HDDs from them, never had any reason to complain.

so i got this to upgrade a backwards 60 gig PS3 and it wouldn't read it i had to get the 1TB instead it read it no issues same brand i love my WD hard drives never any issues used them for years

I need to expand my storage on the ps4 and was tried of deleted games with all my game saves and capture gallery can take up quite a lot of space and this was quick and easy to install and runs very well and now i had lot more space to install more games and save more screenshot/videos to my capture gallery

I bought 4 of these to put in my old file server for the house, with what I had on the bench already I ended up with 8 2tb 2.5 drives. 16tb all together. Wanted the 2.5's so the older case would have more airflow and run cooler. So far so good. They formated easy enough and the system is about 15 degrees cooler under the full load of copying the data back onto the machine. We'll see how it works out long term.

I have not experienced putting in a new hard drive before this one, so review does not consists of any comparisons to other brands. I’m happy with the amount of space and how easy it is to download and move files into it. I have no complaints on its function. However, my only true complaint is that it’s quite noisy. Of course, if I wanted it to be purely silent I would have chosen an SSD. Overall, it does what it needs to do! You can’t go wrong.

I got this for my gaming laptop since it only came with a 256gig ssd and I already have 600 plus gigs in games alone. I installed it myself before i turned the laptop on the first time and moved all my games from my external hard drive to this and I've never had any issues with it.

Bought this drive to replace/double the existing nearly full laptop drive. Surprisingly easy to install, configure and copy. No issues whatsoever; I anticipate many years of trouble-free use. Would definitely buy again.

Purchased this unit to replace a 500 gigabyte hard drive that no longer was able to work for our podcast data storage. This unit was easy to install, effective, and has a fairly quick transfer time for our purpose. Will most likely purchase more in the future.

When you want a chance to save your material, The spinning hard drive is your friend. It will not suddenly end and never start again like a Solid-state drive. A spinning hard drive will miss behave before it fails and give you a chance to save your material. It'll be more than five years before you ever have to worry about that with this one, and I am replacing another spinning hard drive with this one because they give you a chance.

This 2TB hard drive is a great value. My machine runs so much faster and it is a lot quieter than before. I have tons of storage so I don’t have to worry about downloads- I am very please with this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Bought as a replacement harddrive for my ps4. Had a 2tb allready but it is 4 years old and throwing random errors and making screeching noises. This was a snap to install and holds a lot of storage for the money.
