Glad did not pay attention to one guy who reviewed the item as it did not work for the PS4. Installed it and it worked like a charm. Now I have plenty of space. Is it slower than an SSD? Yes, but it is only like 25-30% faster "loading" the games, so for the price you pay I don't think is worth it. If you have money go for it, but if you are in a budget like me, then this will work perfectly.

My grandson is a gamer, who uses a lot of memory. This unit gives the storage he requires.

Purchased this drive to increase a home media server capacity for a HTPC. It was decently reasonably priced for a 2.5" drive. It works well enough that I have no issues with its purpose. I would not recommend it as a primary drive or heavy use drive on a normal use PC as it's not very fast though, but it is great as secondary storage. CrystalDiskMark shows sequential reads of 96MB/s and writes of 116MB/s. Random reads and writes are slow as expected. About 1.2MB/s reads and 1.5MB/s writes, with Q=1 reads at only 0.4MB/s.

For switching out the original PS4 hard drive: Seagate 500gb 5400rpm. At the time about the same price, the pros of having more hard drive space outweighs the cons of not having enough space on a SSD. (There's never enough space in a videogame consoles these days. Plus, it's a hassle downloading, downloading updates, and deleting games because of this.) My only regrets, I wished I got a better deal on pricing.

I bought this for my Mac desktop computer Time Machine backup, to replace a much smaller drive in a portable case. I had no problems with replacing the drive in the case, and starting the backup. I had the drive delivered to my door. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. Great service from BestBuy, as always.

Its a hard drive what more do you wanna know? its 5400rpm which is alright nothing too fast but you do get alot of space. Put it in your laptop or ps4 , it works.

The WD 2 TB Hard Drive is extremely reliable. I used it to clone my PC hard drive so if I get malware I can simply over-write on the affected original and copy the good clone onto the original and restore the original drives integrity. Works like a charm !
