As others have said, this drive should not be used as your main hard drive. Instead, it is meant to store files long term. I have been using this drive for a few months to store my movies and it has enough read/write speed to play movies in 4K HDR. Also very quiet.

Used this drive to expand my PS4 internally. The drive’s physical size falls within spec, and I easily doubled the available space (I had previously upgraded the original 500GB to a 1TB years ago). I’ve always trusted WD for my data storage needs.

I actually installed this in my Security Camera DVR, it's working as advertised and was easy to install, very happy.

I bought this as a storage drive for my laptop and it installed easily and works well for storage. It is a Western Digital drive, so I expect it will last a LONG time!

With this card came great performance. If you are looking for a good card to have on a budget this is a card. I know this review is a little late but im sure somebody will be looking to see if this purchase is worth while. Trust me it is. It is discontinued now but doesn't mean it won't keep getting purchased in the future.

Purchased to install in the Tablo recorder. Has to be the 2.5 inch or a solid state version (for laptops). First made the mistake of buying the 3.5 inch and had to return/ exchange. Tablo sells one with a 1TB drive pre-installed but not available at Best Buy.

I purchased this hard drive for my niece for Christmas. She was thrilled to get it! Shipping was as quickly as it could go, considering the weather and the Christmas rush, but it arrived to her safely. Ordering was very easy. I will be using Best Buy again soon!

Large hard drive and very fast. Reasonably priced.

My son’s computer crashed and I was not able to retrieve anything from his old hard drive. I purchased this drive to replace his and reloaded Windows 10. So far, this hard drive has worked great and his computer is faster than before

Purchased for my PS4, easy to install. Allows the PS4 to have more space for additional games or content. Runs faster than. Installed drive. Plus you can use it as an extra PC drive if needed.

I have replaced 1 TB drives for 2 several times. I use them for karaoke. I have a large library, bigger than a TB. These drives fit the bill nicely. When I've replaced these with SSD drives, I use them as external drives in a case I buy at Best Buy. They make great external drives, also.
