I was looking for something with a lot of storage for my computer, but didn't need something necessarily fast to load and so I got this because it was on sale at the right time. I only go with WD or Seagate for these storage devices. It was very easy to connect and format.

It functions as advertised. I gave 4 stars because Western Digital support was so godawful that i had to buy this in the first place. I think Seagate will be my goto from now on.

My new PC came with a Solid State Drive, but not enough storage for all of the photos that would soon be downloaded. I'll use the SSD for the operating system and software, and store everything else on the WD 4TB hard drive. Installation was a breeze. I've never had a problem with a Western Digital hard drive, and I don't expect any now.

Had to replace a storage drive that crashed. Decided to go with Western Digital this time as they seem to be more reliable. I was quite surprised at how quiet it is. Even when it’s aggressively writing. Windows 10 automatically set it as a pooled drive, annoyingly. But once I removed it from the pool and set it up as it’s own drive, everything was fine.

I have used the WD Blue drives for years, and the are just consistantly good to me. Bought two of the 4GB drives and am running them in RAID 1 for data redundancy. Good inexpensive storage. Running on i9-12900 with ASUS ProArt MB. (Of course I have M.2 and SSDs in the mix too.)

I personally used the hard drive to complete a NAS setup. The drives actually performed faster than expected. Excellent product. It also gives you access to other WD software for cloning, etc.

Bought these on sale at a great price ($ 20 off normal price).
Been using WD drives for many years and rarely have any problems.
(1 Out of 12). As They say, your results may very but I wouldn't
hesitate to buy these. Just slap them in your PC or external dock and format. Done...Ready To use. Lots of Space.

The WD Blue 4TB is a reliable, budget-friendly internal hard drive ideal for general storage needs. It’s quiet, easy to install, and great for everyday use—just watch for SMR vs. CMR versions.

Perfect 2nd drive for backing up all your files, muisc, programs, even games. A lot storage. Great price. Not ment to be your only drive since theres way faster options, but for a 2nd or 3rd back up storage! Perfect!

Bought in June, now it's December and it's going strong. Wonderful, hardly a sound, decent speeds when writing to and reading from. I am using this as an all purpose media drive and even when playing open world rpgs loading from this drive the speeds are fine. Reliable and cheap.

I installed this 4TB drive in my Alienware Aurora R7 and it has been working flawlessly for over 2 months. No clicking or spinning noises, just a reliable, high-capacity drive. This is certainly not the fastest drive available, but I'm using it for media storage and game back-ups. For those purposes, this is a great value.

I had purchased this same HDD 2 years ago on for my PC, works great and its reliable. Purchase this in January, again, this time for my kids PC. Mainly to install games, and they haven’t mentioned any problems. With new games being so large nowadays, this works great solution without breaking the bank.

I have relied on WD hard drives for many years. Other brands simply don't hold up regardless of what other reviews say. This 4TB HD is the right size and the right price at this point in time. In the future, this drive will be considered too small, but for now, it is a great fit.
