Good product, came with a link to software for cloning the existing (failing disk to this new one. Changing from a conventional disk to this solid state drive significantly improved computer performance. Price was competitive with other retailers and online stores.

This WD 500GB PC SSD was a much needed upgrade of a 300 GB HDD that came with my original PC. It was easy to install and has wonderfully performed as my OS local drive. No glitches and no worries with a Best Buy (BB) purchase because I know BB will stand behind their products.

Bought this to replace a failed laptop hard drive. It was easy to install (really, due to the laptop designer more than WD). Once I got the OS installed it worked great. I was surprised at how fast the laptop booted up. Might have to buy one for my laptop.

I purchased this for a 2009 MacBook Pro. I tested my previous hard drive’s speed first. The install was easy using some online videos from OWC. The speed increased by 6 times. The MacBook is a pleasure to work on now. I have been using it for a month with no issues with it.

I replaced a dying mechanical HDD with this and it drastically sped up the system. The price is good and will do for a general use computer. Paying more for a faster drive will be beneficial for a gaming rig, however most users will be happy with the performance of this drive.

This is my first SSD drive. Installed to my gaming PC, this is very fast compare to HDD, 10x faster when booting to windows. No noise, no need to put a fan unlike to my old HDD I've to install a dedicated fan so it won't heat up.

I installed the WD 500 gig SSD in my old laptop. It now boots up in about 10 seconds, compared to almost a minute before. I've been using it for a month now and so far it hasn't given me any issues. Very happy with the drive and price.

Upgraded a laptop with this SSD and the performance of the laptop was like night and day. The old Toshiba drive was probably defective because of age but the speed of the SSD made the laptop perform like newer laptops.

Replaced an old 5400 HD in my older AMD PC. Tripled the speed of my 6 year old PC for less than $75. To upgrade with a new chip and board would have been $350. Can’t go wrong, great product.

I replaced a 240k SSD with this 500k SSD and moved my 240k to an older laptop. I installed it as the system disk for an 8-way AMD phenom system. Worked well with no issues. I did not run performance tools just windows performance analyzer and it seemed as good as my 240k sandisk.

I've never had trouble with a WD Blue SSD. They are solid, reliable performers. Almost always cheaper than Samsung, the top choice in SSD. Not the fastest but way more reliable than PNY or SanDisk!

This drive is very fast. My computer starts up in seconds. It shuts down in less then a minute. My old drive took up to 5 minutes to start up before I could start using it.

I love these drives they are fast and durable and come at a really good price point. 5yr warranty is a good sign that WD is doing something right. I have multiple 500GB, 1TB and 2TB drives and they all perform very well.

Purchased this SSD Drive to upgrade the performance on my laptop and it exceeded my expectations. Made the machine much faster from booting up to shutting down. Applications open a lot faster. I highly recommend it!!

I had bought an Acer that had a solid state drive that was failing. After having this drive installed, I can't believe what a difference it has made. It is lighting fast, PC boots up in <30 seconds and I can access and play my large library of Itunes songs w/o any problems.

Have been slowly swapping out hard drives in several systems at home and this is a really good value for a SSD. Older systems at home are useful again and really helps to provide kids with extra Zoom conferencing devices around the house.

I bought this to go with my Atomos Ninja V, and it works great. Just enough room for a days worth of shooting, and the read and write speeds have caused no issues in transferring to the computer, or editing straight from the drive.
