Either it works or it doesn't. Well, this works very well. I used this to replace a two year old SSD from another manufacturer. This drive is noticeably faster than the SSD from only two years ago. I have never had a WD drive fail and I feel confident this won't be the first to do so. Just be certain you know what you are doing when replacing a drive. Be sure to back up your drive first. Replacing the drive is generally a straight forward process. This will fit right in the same space as your old standard 2.5 inch hard drive. And if you have never used an SSD, well, be prepared to be blown away! The speed increase is insane. Even on an older computer. This small investment will really bring new life to an old computer.

The Best Upgrade I Ever Did in My Laprop!

Honestly though, was the best upgrade I had done for my laptop. I use my Laptop as a back up when I'm not at home. I have GW2 and WoW installed so it made sense for me to install this in my laptop. It is an older HP Pavilion with an ATI CPU and GPU. It runs both games on high settings so not too shappy. I figured I would see a speed increase with this and I did! Boot time (power to log on screen) before the upgrade was just over 33 seconds. After cloning the HDD with the free version of Arconis that WD gives (tyvm WD) my boot time dropped to 17.5 seconds. Load times for WoW we're also cut by about half! Was very happy with the performance boost! The only thing now is to see how long this SDD lasts.
