Researched item before buying, Geek Squad was very helpful in answering many questions, Decided on the WWD 500 GB SSD drive and also the RAM upgrade from 4 GB to 16 GB. These simple upgrades brought a 10 year old Laptop To better than new condition. Running Win 10 pro, dual 2.9 Intel Processor (Factory) used to take 4-5 min to start up now it’s like 20 seconds. Total cost was < 130.00 <. All items were in stock and price was better than online! Would definitely recommend!

Plenty fast and plenty of space. I bought two for two laptops, made a huge difference from the 7200rpm drives that were replaced.

I was looking for a drive for my Atomos Ninja Inferno external recorder to record high-quality 4K footage and was a little skeptical of this drive compared to the Sandisk 850 and 860 Pro, since it was cheaper but still was listed as a compatible drive. Although this drive may have lower specs on paper, it is still very fast only being just slightly slower than the 850 and 860 Pro. Again, on paper, but I had no problems with 10-bit/60p 4K footage both reading and writing to the drive. Highly recommended especially for the price.

Works great and is fast. A cheap ssd is going to make an old computer with an old hard drive feel new again. I haven't had any issues with WD over the years. They have good warranties and make good products. The only issue is with the description. It's hard to tell which generation of this ssd you are getting. There have been a few different models over the years that are labeled WD Blue, but perform differently.

Very good value for its great quality. This is probably the most budget-friendly SSD you can find among other competitor products in its quality level. Definitely not as reliable as Samsung's leading products, but cheaper and way more than sufficient for daily use and medium-to-high level gaming. It's also great to be used as an OS boot drive. You would hardly notice the difference in performance compared to a more expensive SATA or even NVMe SSD.

It's a SSD. It installed easily enough, and the disk imaging software that Western Digital provided -- Acronis --from its website worked well enough to image the Windows partition of my old disk, but failed to image the Linux partition. Meh. Linux is easy to install and update compared to Windows. I'd say the upgrade to this SSD went very well. It's Read/Write speeds are an order of magnitude faster than the HDD it replaced, and this is noticeable on the computer's performance.

This hard drive seems to be a very reliable hard drive. It is a great value for the price.
