I had the Geek Squad install this, as they did previously with another of my computers. It became the C drive which was replaced. The computer start up and running speed increased greatly. Well worth the investment. The Squad technician did a very good job. Only problem was getting through on the phone to anybody in BB.

My 8 year old laptop was so slow to boot up that I hardly used it anymore. Since I installed the WD ssd the boot time is about 30 seconds instead of 5 minutes or more. It also uses less battery and is noticeably cooler. Installation is simple with Acronis software. Well worth the money.

Great economical upgrade for older computers having only eSATA interface. Will probably require a (free) software utility to control HD fan speed if upgrading an Apple product. Performance is very good, but as prices continue to drop, it might be worth an extra $50 to jump to the 1TB size.

WD is cheap, way faster than a conventional hard drive, and cheap.

I have had great success with this drive. Up to 550MB/s read and 525MB/s write speed and 5 year warranty, you can't go wrong replacing your HDD with one of these. You will see the greatest speed difference with motherboards having SATA 3 and Intel i series processors. This SSD is very competitive with the Samsung 860 Evo.

I had the Geek squad replace my old mechanical hard drive in my laptop. It is safer (won't ever lose your data), is more reliable (no moving parts), and much faster retrieving data.....and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this drive as well as the Geek Squad.

easy to install and configure, more than doubled my HD

My favorite laptop which I use for working and pleasure needed a new hard drive. Once installed, the computer works better than ever. It is faster and more responsive although it is several years old. I am very pleased with the result.

I was visiting a friend out of state and her computer was old and slow. Went out got this drive and it was a huge improvement for her. She said the new drive is way faster than her old one when it was new. This was her computer that she paid bills and shop online with.

This has been a good drive. It comes with the ability to download acronis which will help you clone your drive. You do need an external USB to SATA cable. I had this for a couple months and been very happy with the performance.

I needed to upgrade an older all in one from a 5,400 RPM spinning hard drive to an SATA SSD to help it act like a newer system. The computer would not support the latest M.2 hard drives, but changing to the SSD improved the overall performance tremendously.
