Customers are impressed with the Blue 500GB Internal SSD SATA's performance, price, and ease of use, citing faster boot times and improved overall system responsiveness. Many appreciate the ample storage capacity for their files and the straightforward installation process. While some users experienced issues with the included software and warranty duration, the positive feedback on performance and value significantly outweighs these concerns. The drive is also praised for its quiet operation and reduced heat compared to traditional hard drives.

I bought this for a new Acer laptop and I cannot be happier. The boot and shutdown times are mere seconds now. It took a bit of work to get the laptop to recognize the drive, but we got it figured out and I am very pleased with this unit. It went from fast to blazing!

Fast hard drive, easy set up

The hard drive comes unformatted so some basic pc knowledge is needed. I was adding a hard drive to my laptop which has an extra slot. It was very quick and easy install. Once formatted I transferred a few large video files and large folders. The transfer speed was very quick. Definitely a must to add extra space to a laptop or desktop with the right adapters.

For $89 it is an amazing upgrade to my 4 year old laptop. Between the ssd and eliminating bloatware boot time is about 10 seconds. My HP Pavilion G7's hdd crapped out and I needed a quick replacement so I ordered a new Dell Inspiron to replace it. I was searching for a cheap hdd replacement just to see if I could fix the old laptop and came across this ssd for $89. Expecting the install of the ssd and windows to be a big deal I set it aside until I had a full day to commit to the install. I had the drive mounted in less than 5 minutes and following instruction found on the internet I was able to reinstall Windows 10 very easily. Probably less than 30 minutes actually "doing" and maybe an hour or so "downloading" or "installing". I can't say exactly how much time "downloading" or "installing" actually took because I got busy with other things while "downloading" and "installing". I must comment that Microsoft did a great job making a clean reinstall really easy and free. Only down side is I prefer the old laptop now because with the ssd it is faster than the Inspiron... so the Inspiron was a waste of money since I only use it for backup on it's 1.5 TB hdd at this point. I like the led display on the Inspiron better than the Pavilion so maybe when they get cheap enough I'll get a 1 TB ssd and try cloning the hdd in the Dell.

Fast SSD with Free Cloning Software

This SSD is fast, just like the rest. I purchased this one because it was on sale for $65 and it came with free Acronis cloning software. The software needs to be downloaded from WD and at least 1 drive needs to be a Western Digital Drive for it to work.
SSD Endurance is decent and better than many of its competitors in this price range.
Computer boot time went from 3.0 minutes to 28 seconds. This makes me a happy camper!

Take full advantage of your computers capabilities

I have a couple of these drives myself. Plus I recommend them to my customers when they want to upgrade from a mechanical drive to SSD. I clone their old drives to one these and it has never failed. Doing this is like driving your car at 20mph and then deciding to go over 500mph on a racetrack. Even if your computer is older and only has SATA 300 capabilities. 300mph is still better than 20mph. Boot up and shutdown goes from nearly a minute or more. To less than 20 seconds. Many times less than 10 seconds. Any more than that and you need to have your computer looked at by a professional as something is wrong. I wait for these to go on sale and then notify my customers so the can pick them up at their local Bestbuy. I can’t say how many times I’ve done this, can’t remember. What I can say is that I have never had a single complaint. Even gotten nice tips because the customers were so happy. Even the oldest laptop or desktop can seem like a brand new one if you install one of these. No waiting for Google Chrome to open. Just seconds for photoshop or other resource intense programs to open. With all the improvements made to computers in the past decades. The hard drive has been the main thing holding back their speed. An SSD keeps all that progress from going to waste. This is a great drive to take advantage of what your computer is truly capable of.

SATA INTERNAL SSD DRIVE

I replaced my old hard drive and it cut the boot up time by a factor of 10 easily. No more waiting several minutes for windows to completely boot up and let you actually access the internet. It boots and is ready to go in 15-20 seconds. These have gotten so cheap that they are well worth taking the time to upgrade. Had never opened up a laptop before but watched a quick youtube video and felt confident about it. If you want to clone your old drive (strongly recommended) so you don't have to reinstall everything you will need an external sata drive reader. I replaced a 1tb standard drive, just had to make sure I deleted enough stuff from it before doing the clone. This drive didn't give instructions on cloning but I also bought an Sandisk drive for another computer and it gave a website for free cloning software as long as you were using a WD or Sandisk drive. It worked well and I didn't have to spend more money one cloning software. If you have never replaced a hard drive I recommend watching a few videos and you should be fine. If you plan on replacing several drives in the future then an external SATA reader is a very good investment.

This is an excellent SSD for a good price. The performance is just as good as the Samsung SSD. Bring new life into an older, or even newer, pc or laptop. Installed this one into a 6yr old laptop that had a i5 processor but a traditional drive and it now boots in less than 30 seconds, and the apps open way faster. Definitely worth the money.

Upgraded my SATA HD to this SATA SSD and it provided a significant performance increase in speed to my old PC. Easily ghosted my primary drive for free using third party software. DO NOT USE Acronis True Image software to ghost your drive. Its free for WD drives but it is super slow and buggy in my experience.

Purchased two of these SSD's to replace a harddrive that had failed in a RAID system on a computer that runs 24x7 controlling a critical system.
Cloned one SSD from the working Hard Drive in the RAID Array, then swapped out the working Hard Drive for the second SSD and the RAID Array rebuilt.
System has been running 24x7 with no issues.

Pretty straight forward. I installed this into my Lenovo Ideapad laptop to replace the tiny 128GB SSD that was in there. Physical install took about 10 minutes, and about an hour to transfer Windows 10.
This drive is noticeably faster than the previous PNY unit. I have been running it for 2 weeks now with no issues. Great drive for the price!

I have used Western Digital for every PC build that I've done. They are reliable, fast and safe storage.
Their prices are very fair, and occasionally you can catch them on sale, making them the price of some of the other, lower quality brands.

I have purchased about 6 of these SDDs to upgrade customer's HDDs. Great value, reliability and speed for everyday use. Will improve gaming as well, but there are faster ones available but you will have to pay for more speed as well.

Swapped to this solid state drive. For the price, you cannot go wrong. My laptop is faster now and it
was easy to install. 500gb is more than enough for the work that I do and I am sure it is more than enough for a lot of everyday user. Great quality for the price, will be purchasing more later.

I wanted more speed out of my laptop and it was easy to install. I rebuild Windows 10 and now it boots in about 15 seconds. YEA
