All my computers end up doing this thing where they go 100% disk usage and everything comes to a crawl. Then I switched to this SSD and it's like buying a new computer. EVERYTHING is night and day difference faster. Almost like buy a new computer. Boot and shutdown takes like 10 seconds. File transfer across my network is 10 times faster and all my laptops now have extended battery life now that they no longer spin disk drives all day. The only complaint is the disk migration software did not recognize the disk when connected to USB. Had a situation were I needed to migrate the disk from one computer using a second laptop. The only way to do this was through the USB. The included software kept saying a WD disk was not connected so it wouldn't transfer files. Had to take apart my desk top and rig up enough power connection to make it work. Huge pain in the backside.

WD is famously known for high quality drives. They have been my preferred vendor for as long as I can remember. Now their Blue SSD drives take that stellar reputation up to a higher level. Excellent job. Excellent value. Excellent product.

This drive gave new life to an old slow laptop. I replaced the drive in a 3 year old laptop with this drive, the pc boots significantly faster and overall performance increase is amazing. A qucik, cheap ease upgrade will keep the pc usable for several more years.

This is a great SSD for people looking to upgrade from a standard HDD. It's great bang for the buck. It's not the fastest as far as SSDs go, but most normal every day users would be hard pressed to find much of a difference between this drive and the more expensive ones on the market.

Hard drive died on my laptop. Replaced mechanical drive with this solid state drive and installed Ubuntu instead of Windows. Combination has made my low end laptop lightning fast. Easy install. Chose not to recover data from old drive. Not sure how that would go.

Had bad luck that my backup SATA drive failed, and Geek Squad offered a great deal on this drive - great price and installation free with Total Tech. Speed is a real surprise; makes backups very fast!

Excellent performance with this upgrade. My computer is running better and there are not issue with the system at all. Geek Squid did a great job in my repair of my laptop computer. I would recommend their performance at all times.

Good sd drive. Run better than old harddrive. Boot up fast. Needed mounting brackets for desktop computers.

Great upgrade to my home PC. Totally made my pc that was slow and frustrating into a quick moving experience. Very pleased to be able to get more use from my PC before needing to do a replacement.

I use this SSD to clone my whole business computer just in case the computer crash. you need to have a clone software in order to achieved this. you can replace your current with this SSD which will make the computer start up faster

Amazing upgrade from the hard drive I had in my computer. I now use the 2tb hard drive for storage and use this solid state drive for my programs and games. Computer starts up almost instantly compared to the hard drive.

These little hard drives are great for upgrading your laptop from mechanical to SSD. Although, they are not the best performance than some I have seen on the market in a pinch these do the trick. Had to quickly replace my laptop drive (mechanical) the failed out of the blue. This was a great investment without breaking the bank to go SSD. Worked as expected. I bought a second one and reformatted it and it worked in my Macbook as well. Good to go!

I replaced the hard drive on my 4 year old HP Envy laptop. The difference is huge. It use to take around 10 min to las now is taking around 30 seconds. I also upgraded my ram. The combination was perfect. I feel I have a newer computer.

This solid-state drive greatly decreased the time it takes for my software load. SATA drives have platters that spin and read/write heads/arms which are mechanical. It takes much more time to access data with these types of drives.

My 12 year old HP laptop is now performing much faster and more efficiently with the new WD BLUE 500 GB Internal Solid State Drive! If anyone has an older computer, I would highly recommend this enhancement to your laptop.

These drives are my go to for client upgrades. The price is typically very competitive, stock is always there and the drives work fantastic for their intended purpose. I have no complaints - great drives.

Purchased to upgrade a friends laptop. Was able to clone Win 10 Pro using the free WD version of Acronis (download from WD/Sandisk website) and swap out the old HD without any trouble. Would go with this drive again without hesitation!
