These are great disks for upgrading any device that's old enough to not use a SSD in the first place. Also, do yourself a favor and read up on the WD colors!

I switched from a 7200 RPM Seagate 400 Gig hard drive to this SATA SSD and what a difference. My pc boots up in less then 55 seconds compared to 5 minutes. Great purchase at a very inexpensive price! Whew Hoooo!!!!

Brought a 10 year old laptop back to life running Debian Buster with this drive. 8 gigs of RAM and 500 gig of SSD built a great lighting controller for the bands.

I had a new Solid State Drive replaced by the Geek Squad. The laptop was running very slow and the laptop would not reboot. After the Geek Squad rep replaced the hardrive, the laptop has been running like new!

Old hard drive crashed. Drove to Best Buy, got this, back to office. Used Win10 boot from USB. Format and installed Win10, then installed all my other programs/apps. All done before 5:00pm.

Works as expected and improves computer performance. Malware software was causing 100% disk usage for extended periods of time. This SSD allows you to get back to work.

Not as fast as an M.2, but gets the job done on a sta only computer.

This was purchased as a replacement drive for a newer laptop that had a hard drive failure. Laptop was still under warranty but did not want to replace it with another drive of the same kind. Made the laptop way faster than it was new.

Absolutely amazingly fast drive. Used this to replace a Hard Disk Drive in my church's old laptop used for playing audio. It was an absolute game changer! highly recommmend WD blue!

On the suggestion of the Geek squad, I decided to upgrade my storage to an SSD. This definitely made my computer much faster. Overall I'm more that satisfied with the suggestion and the work performed.

The WD-Blue 500GB Internal SATA Solid State Drive was the answer to a problem-laden hard drive. This solid state drive is much faster and eliminates all the problems of the original drive it replaced.

Got this for my Atomos Ninja V after having skipping problems with a different SSD with similar specs (so it was supposedly fast enough...it wasn't). This WD Blue has never missed a frame -- it's a beast.

First I am a IT tech with 20 years. All you really know is it's crazy fast. Is the Samsung 850 faster? Yes, however, you will never notice the difference unless you have two identical computers running next to one another and running benchmarks

Laptop was almost unusable with the HDD. Swapped it out for this SSD and it is a lot faster. Fast enough for my daughter to us for school. I was going to throw the old Dell away but no now.

Very good product. Upgraded traditional hard drive to SSD that shortened bootup shutdown time dramatically. Very fast! It will give a older computer a new lease on life. Cloning software is included.

I have used this drive for just under a year. Flawless performance. Plug and play. Excellent speed. If you haven't experienced SSD speeds do yourself a favor and get one of these. You can thank me later. ;)

Very happy with this SSD thus far. It has made a noticeable improvement in PC.

Great boost in performance even in an ancient PC. I installed this in a P4 running Windows 7 and Linux and it makes a huge difference in the performance.
