good drive

Says that it is for pc only but once I formatted it, it worked fine for my Mac. not a bad purchase at all. I have used it for 3 weeks now for intense video editing of 4k professional video footage and it has not given me any issues as of yet.

Was a cinch to install and replace an HDD i9n my desktop computer. Very fast boot up times and waking from sleeping compared to before. Navigation seems a little faster and hasn't gotten hung on anything so very happy. I did a clean install of Windows on it so that might explain some of the speed also. Well worth the investment to get another couple of years of life out of desktop.

Brings Dead Desktops to Life

Didn't think I was going to see much of a different change in a box that's a few years old. Boy was I wrong. This puppy is not only bigger (duh!) but also moves along at a more rocket pace! I've got room to stretch on the C drive and I don't have to kick everything down to my D drive for backup! Glad I bought this; highly recommended!

Made a HUGE difference!

This was on sale for $50 so after reading how a SSD would make a big difference. That was an understatement- it made a HUGE difference. It’s like a new computer. In addition to being much faster, it’s much quieter. It was very easy to set up with the WD support site and the external hard drive enclosure I had laying around.

Rock Solid Drive

Very respected company with great reputation. Out of the many WD drives I've purchased and installed I've only had one not install correctly. All others went very smooth. I would not hesitate to purchase another WD drive. I purchased this one to upgrade my sons computer and it worked flawlessly. My son said it really increased the speed and performance of his PC.

Fast solid state drive

She was frustrated every time she used the laptop. After installing this drive, it was like getting a brand new computer. The boot time went from 2 minutes to 20 seconds, from the time you hit the power button, till you were logged in ready to go, which includes typing in your password. I highly recommend this drive to upgrade your laptop.

Reliable drive for gaming

It is a nice hard drive to have because of write speed, while others are focus on read speed. It is like ADSL both read and write are almost the same speed. It doesnt get hot from few hours of usage from benchmark read out. I wouldnt say this is a better drive, but performance is just good as others in same price range.

My HP laptop boots fine. I used a 3rd party software to copy the windows and my files, and that was fine too. I am okay with the SSD. Only con, is that I wish the WD had it own cloning software like Samsung
