Fast to boot, very compact, very efficient and reliable

for the price with 500 gig this is the best hard drive with the best price

Bought this HD for my wife’s laptop (HP) which stopped working due to the old school HD. It took me a while to open the laptop, but just 20 seconds to mount the new HD on it. I was super surprised, since I never had a SSD before, and that computer is super fast now! Planning to get another one (maybe 1Tb) on my laptop as well, will stick with the brand!

Really good Price, very good, reliable , and easy.

The HDD in my Sony Vaio failed (8 yrs old) and I needed something to replace it so my kids could continue to use it. This SSD was an easy install and Windows 10 Home took about 10-15 min to install from a USB flash drive then another 20 min for the updates. The laptop has never been faster since I opened it up for the first time over 8 yrs ago.

Another great product from Western Digital. This solid state drive performance high speed at a bargain Best Buy price under $60 dollars. I purchased this drive to upgrade the existing hard drive in my old Dell Latitude D630. The increase performance is amazing. I highly recommend this product!

An SSD is a simple and cheap way to get a heavy performance gain out of an older computer. Removing the old mechanical Hard drive and replacing it with a fast solid state drive will not only increase the speed of the computer but also increase its boot time! This is a fast and nicely priced model! Would recommend!

easy to install, fast and reliable, good value for size

I put this SSD into my 3 year old ASUS laptop to upgrade the performance and it made a big difference. Not only does it boot substantially faster but I can also tell there is a difference in application startups and web browsing. I used EaseUS ToDo to transfer my old drive to my WD drive and the new drive booted up and ran with no issues.

This SSD really helped speed up my 6 year old desktop PC. It now boots in half the time and just normal use is much faster. If your PC seems slow, this SSD will help improve the performance. Not the same as a new PC but for around $100 you will see a big improvement and if you should in the future purchase a new PC, then you can install this SSd in it for better performance.

I have a couple.od these plus Samsung evo. I prefer wd blue ssd coz has identical warranty than evo plus it's cheaper. Also a US company so a bonus to buy. I have more than 8 SSDs, and wd blue is by goto ssd as long as they will be cheaper than evo, while maintaining warranty. Avoid wd green, blue is faster and 5y warranty

i bought some off-lease dell workstations that had 500GB HDD for the office. performance overall was fine for office use. but one of the biggest improvements you can do is swap HDD with SSD. great price for what i needed it for. i wouldn't suggest these for gaming pc.

Does just what I wanted. awesome cheap little back up Drive.

Fast read and write speeds. Very inexpensive. instead of buying a new laptop and computer I replaced all my hard drives with this SSD and brought my computers back to life. I use these for all my customers.

Upgraded some old 2012 Mac minis to these blazing fast SSD’s and breathed new, highly usable life into nearly decade old hardware. (For that upgrade there may have been third-party adapters needed, I don’t recall exactly). Have had no failures in a couple years, and it was set and forget!

I decided to go with Western Digital because I always had before. Best HHDs, so SSDs must be pretty good. No disappointment. Faster than I'd expected. Installation was fast and easy. Just be sure to get a mounting adapter. These Fs should include a mounting adapter; strange that WD doesn't.

WD doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. Is one of the best brands on the market and this drive reassure the quality that WD delivers along years. It's cheap, fast and will give to your old computer an upgrade which will makes it better than factory.

great SSD had no troubles installing and runs flawlessly

I upgraded my 2 years old laptop with this SSD and it is like having a brand new computer. It is much faster now compare to the old regular HD. Recommend to everyone who is using regular HD and want to upgrade their computers. You will see a BIG difference.

I changed out my old hard drive for a new ssd and the start up is now very fast. Should be able to get another year or two out of an 8 year old laptop. Only problem was finding good software to copy the old failing drive to the new one. Best buy guys were not very knowledgeable on that part.
