Hard drive suicide leads to improvement

I was wrong, but I replaced the suicidal unit with a new solid-state hard drive. After downloading my data (thank God for back-up in the cloud!!) I noticed smoother functioning and a marked decrease in loading time. Was it worth it? You betcha!!
