Western Digital Blue SA510 1TB Solid State Drive

The Blue series is a low cost storage solution. The Western Digital Blue SA510 1TB SSD is a good performer and gets the job done. I've installed it in a hard drive enclosure for daily backups.

Have used Western Digital for all my drive replacements or upgraded over the years and never had any issues with bad sectors or out of box DOA. great quality, speed.

In my case, I purchased it for a budget gaming rig. I installed it flawlessly, it works, and I'm satisfied. Upgrading from two 1TB HHDs from 2014, the speed is IMMEDIATELY noticeable. My boot speed went from 5mins to 5secs.

Had a little trouble cloning the HDD it was replacing due to older hardware (had to use a USB data connector so was really slow and froze up a few times so had to start over which was annoying but I’m 95% sure that had nothing to do with this drive but thought I’d mention it just in case.)
