I got it for my Mid 2012 Macbook Pro and it worked fine up until it didn't. I have not idea why, but I think I will stay away from internal hard drives from Western Digital. Looking at other reviews it appears I am not the only person who had this problem.

It works well as a storage drive.. Pathetic..

He said it was a great deal. When I recieved my computer, the GS and I both had problems searching for my transferred files. They kept my computer another night and ended up replacing this product with a different brand - same size. No price difference.

Tried to use Acronis Western Digital edition to clone. Didn't work because laptop drive not WD and usb cable I connected drive to for cloning didn't report the WD Blue. WD tech support less than helpful. Will work if internal drive is WD otherwise you may have issues
