Bad quality bad support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought SA510 SSD for use in a raid 5 array. Drives had issues with being seen in the PC. Web search indicated that there were firmware updates needed to fix the issues that were exactly what I experienced. Downloaded and tried to install the WD Dashboard. Nothing but trouble here. When I finally was able to get the Dashboard installed on 1 Win 7 PC, it would crash every time I connected a SA510 SSD drive. Support was useless and kept asking meaningless questions. I would never buy product from this company again.

Extremely Unreliable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As far as performance is concerned, this was a great drive that I used as a secondary in conjunction with an M.2 boot drive. It worked great for around 8 months, and then I turned my computer on today to find that the drive was missing from the file system. Checked BIOS and it was not recognized there either. Turns out this is a somewhat common issue with these and there is no sure fix. SSDs are meant to have great reliability, now I dont even want to warranty it because the next one is likely to do the same.

Works, but often stops every use.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn't work properly and isn't consistent on working. It often disappears from view (the laptop can't find the device), although it seems to be working fine otherwise. I tried unplugging and plugging the appropriate cable into the drive but retained the same result. I also installed the Western Digital software in an attempt to fix this but the action did not help.

Drive failure after 25 days
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed in iMAC to replace a 500gig drive. Cloned and everything was working. iMAC boots with folder missing showing no hard drive. After pulling drive out and putting it in a external reader, no device detected and not powering up. Sent off fot RMA. Purchased 2 at the same time, other one has not failed, yet.

WD Blue 1TB SSD is not a good choice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this WD Blue 1Tb SSD. It failed after a few months of little use. I sent it back to get a replacement. I got the new drive, installed OS, app, etc. The new WD Blue 1TB SSD failed after a few weeks. I replaced it with a Samsung drive and the WD one now is in a box for my recycled electronic devices.

As a GeekSquad agent DO NOT BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This drive fails the most often compared to any other drive and We NEVER recommend customers get this drive as it always comes back with issues. For this price you can go get a samsung or crucial drive on sale. WD is typically good but the SA510 SSD is terrible.
