Good Value, Good Performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The SN570 won't blow you out the water, but performs very closely to it's stated metrics. It has a slim and low profile design makes it easy to place in a laptop or heatsink if you so choose. The biggest drawback would be that it lacks DRAM. Otherwise, it performed well for my gaming and content creation needs. This is an entry level NVMe SSD that will get you in the door.

Hope 1TB is Enough!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this 1TB drive up to replace a 256gb drive that came with the Asus Zenbook I purchased, 256gb is nothing these days. I'm not a Gamer so I really didn't need the WD SN570 Black. While I was at it, I Upgraded to Windows 11 Pro instead of the Home which originally came on the Zenbook. About a week later Office Depot had the Same Drive for a couple bucks less, but that's okay, I have mine all set up now.

Tiny size, huge storage
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to have this internal SSD as it is an upgrade in my desktop. I was lucky to have the right kind of port to install it in the desktop and now I am using it to store pictures and short videos. If you have never seen one of these, it's about one inch by three inches and about as thick as a sheet of cardstock. So easy!!!! I will be looking to update a laptop drive soon with one of these!

WD PICe gen 3 M.2 drive. Good value!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good M.2 gen 3 drive. I put this in my Gaming pc (intel x99 setup). Noticed a Good bump in boot speed and program loading over my 2.5 SSD. Since I made this my new Boot drive have less issue's when starting Windows. But also went fresh install of windows 10 (will not upgrade to windows 11). Over all me steam games I moved to this drive that I downloaded are 10 to 20 seconds faster than my 2.5 SSD loading up. I would recommend This WD blue drive if you have the ability to update an older system with older drivers. good price value over the other companies. Not gonna win any speed awards because it is a gen 3 drive but still plenty fast. Also make sure you check for and update hard disk drivers once you install. I also had to I update my Bios for this WD drive to get the most out of it.

Solid value for performance and capacity
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Western Digital "Blue" SN570 1 TB NVMe drive is a great performer at a very reasonable cost. Since it's a DRAMless drive, it will be slightly lower power consumption and slightly lower raw performance (especially for random read/write) than the higher end SSDs with a DRAM cache. I was seriously impressed with the performance of the drive vs my expectations given the low cost. For my needs, the biggest advantage to having an extra 1TB NVMe drive paired to the existing 1TB NVMe in my PC is the ability to work with large video files at very high export and import speeds. In terms of raw benchmark speeds, the SN570 hits a very respectable 2500 MB/s in large sequential writes (and 3500 MB/s for sequential reads). For a mid-range PCIe 3.0 x4 drive, that's very quick. In terms of real-world performance, this is about 2.5-6 times faster than my external SSD (which slows down pretty dramatically after the first few GB of a transfer). When working on a video for upload, this kind of speed difference makes a huge difference in time saved when finishing and exporting the video. The performance stays pretty consistent in my experience - maybe because I'm comparing to the OEM NVMe SSD in my laptop and an external NVMe SSD and not the latest and greatest high end drives. I like the drive so much I'm considering purchasing a second drive to add to a gaming laptop. Definitely a 100% recommendation from me.

Excellent performance for less
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This drive performs excellently. For roughly the same price as a standard SSD of similar storage capacity, you can see real differences in sequential read/write speeds (verified using a speed test application). For most users, the performance upgrade will not necessarily be noticeable over that of a 2.5" SSD, but given that there's a good chance this drive will cost less than a 2.5" one, there's no reason not to buy it provided your computer supports NVMe M.2 drives. Computer hardware neophytes be advised - make absolutely sure your hardware supports the form factor and interface type of this drive *before* purchasing (NVMe M.2, 2280). For the cost and reliable performance, this drive is strongly recommended. If I were to complain about one thing, it would simply be the packaging. The drive is safely sealed in plastic, but the cardboard carton it ships in has a lot of empty space and was partially flattened from mishandling when the drive arrived. My drive was fine, but I can see how one could be damaged in transit.

Works as expected, nothing fancy.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WD makes reliable drives, and this PCIe drive is no exception. Compared to my other 512 drive this performs just as expected, nothing fancy... just reliable. I needed some more space and wanted to try WD compared the brand I had. Benchmarks are comparable to my old gaming drive so for space this is good enough.

Great PCIE 3.0 Option, but PCIE 4.0
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When this drive is on sale, it is a fantastic budget option from a well established brand. However, this is a PCIE 3.0 SSD so on newer Systems like 12th gen Intel or Ryzen, you lose out not using a PCIE 4.0 SSD. Setup and installation is nothing special unfortunately if you don't have the SSD covered on your motherboard it will stick out aesthetically, but from my experience you do reach the Advertised speeds of PCIE 3.0, around 3500mbp/s read and write on my 500gb model, the 1tb may have less consistent speeds.
