In modern computers, NVME SSD storage is becoming a necessity due to their speed and reliability. They also have NO moving parts which make them great for laptops and desktops that might get moved around a lot. Traditional HDD storage is still king with storage size, but with more moving parts comes more possibilities for failure and while I've had several HDD's fail on me over my 24 years of building computers, I have yet to have an SSD or NVME drive failure in it's lifetime of use. That's what makes drives like this WD Blue SN570 so great. It's a decent storage size that can either be your boot drive with your operating system or it can be your secondary drive with your files and games. I used 2 of these, 1 in my fathers desktop computer as his main and only drive (he doesn't use a lot of storage space on his computer) and 1 in my laptop as a 2nd drive for Steam / Blizzard games. Heck, these are also great if you buy an external enclosure and make a nice little 1 TB NVME storage drive that you can take with you.

Got this to go in a external enclosure so it could be storage for my DLNA service on my router. Great drive so far but I expect nothing less from WD. Been using WD drives since ATA/33 times. Currently rocking this, 2 SN770s, a SN510, an old WD external spinner and a 8tb WD black spinner. Great drives!

I’ve bought a lot of these WD Blue SSDs fir replacement in customer’s computers. They’re certainly a lot faster than a spinning disk type hard drive. And, while it may not be as fast of higher-end, more expensive drives, it’s quite adequate for the average user. The only downside is the relatively short two-year warranty. But so far, haven’t had any failures.

I love this and the SN550 too they’re both very reliable and fast.

Purchased for a HP laptop to replace it's failed (conventional) hard drive. note to anyone reading this the m.2 slot held an Intel Optane module that was removed but it must be disabled in the BIOS first prior to removal.

It's very fast in frequency and I also cloned my operating system and everything works quite well, the truth is, I needed it because my previous disk was already 95% full, the truth is, I recommend this product!
