Very convenient and relatively quiet. It also has good thermal management. I have had no issue with this drive. It is an HUS728T8TALE6L4 Ultrastar enterprise drive so it should handle the load. I've had WD hard drives almost exclusively since 2002 and have only had to return 2. Simple WD exchange, no questions asked and always received brand new drives of either the same or greater capacity. Thumbs up!!

If you are buying for a Playstation 5 just be aware that you can only store the 5 games and then move them back to internal storage to play. The 4's can be stored and played from the drive.

Now new Xbox. I down load alot off Gamepass and transfer them to the system as needed. Off line. Fast. Much better than buying special expensive Xbox exclusive SSD cards. Go big!

I use it as a streaming device on my network and just feels warm. I have just used it for a week. I will just do another review later

While I know this drive is advertised as a "gaming drive", it's high throughput and overall high performance made it a perfect choice for my needs. This is the 4th "WD Black" drive I have purchased of different capacities (the first 3 were for personal use) and I am very happy with all of them. Cost a little more than others, but well worth the extra expense!
