Easy to use, multiple ways to connect, huge capacity.

Got for some portable extra storage but for some reason the transfer rates are a little on the slower than advertised side. Moving files from an m.2 drive to this via USB 3.2 was hitting around 85-100mb/s and said transfer speeds upwards of 250mb/s. That was the only reason for the subtracted star. Other than that, a solid storage solution. Would buy again.

This hard drive lives up to to Western Digitals specifications and performs great. I have used many drives through the years and can say that Western Digital is one of the better brands. Transfer speeds are fast and the option to get a huge capacity is great.

Got this for my brother in law for chirstmas and he LOVES it, its so easy to use and the amount of storage is amazing considering the price we paid.

1st of all, plenty of room for storage. Also, it's a 7200 rpm drive so not as snappy as an SSD but a fast enough mass storage solution. Catch it on sale when possible. You won't be disappointed. Recommended to a friend... he bought one too. His review would read the same as mine if he ever cared to write a review.

My installed Hitachi HD failed with a bunch of my STEAM games on it. It was a 4TB. This doubles my capacity and allows me to install more of my games! Honestly, I see no real difference in speed between my former internal SATA HD that died and this USB 3.0. I just hope in the long run the WD Black lives up to its reputation!

I don't use for gaming, just wanted increased speed and reliability of WD Black drive. I use SSD drives for day to day work and this WD Black for extended storage. USB charging ports on front a nice plus for charging mouse/keyboard/phone

We needed it for our game storage it's work out to be a great purchase

This is a great add on for your ps5 adds so much more space for your games, ps4 games can play directly from the drive, but ps 5 games have to be on the ps5 hard drive to play, but you can store them over there for safe keeping, its faster than downloading them again if u need space.

This SSD is really fast with a ton of storage room. The sleek design makes it easy to travel with but also fits well with any office design. As a photographer, back up is essential and this product so far has done a great job as keeping my photos and films safe.

I had been looking at upgrading my external hard drive attached to my PS4. After much consideration and review reading, I finally decided upon the WD Black series. My old external is a WD 4TB My Book. It works very well, and the only reason I needed another was it simply was running out of space. The WD Black runs very well, and despite what I read about noise from the hard drive, it is of no bother to me. In fact, I hear very little from the drive, unless I have no sound on and the drive is working while my PS4 is working in "Rest Mode." My PS4 makes more noise that this hard drive has. The speed is great, not that my My Book was bad, but I do notice a faster access/load speed. Only a few seconds more, but I still notice the difference. I have always been a fan of Western Digital and Seagate drives. Internal and external. I have no particular brand loyalty. I use which ever drive fits my need and is the best deal at the time. WD and Seagate have been very reliable and this one has not disappointed me.

The hard drive has provided so much free space for the PlayStation. The kids found it incredibly easy to setup and have transferred their saved data over. It has a sleek design and a combat appearance which just feeds into the kids enthusiasm for the games.

Got it on sale for holidays. Great storage for my XBOX Games. Easy to use and install. Basically auto-formatted itself. The package said that it would need to be formatted, but XBOX One recognized it and was able to do it without any real work on the user's part. Speed for writing is incredible, 100GB in about 15min.

I ran into a problem we all face while gaming on PC. MEMORY! Once i found the proper drive, i drove myself to my local Best Buy to purchase said item. 10/10, alot of games downloaded now

Great value for the size! works well, only thing i don't like is having to switch games between the system and the hard drive, i wish it acted like the internal storage.

I got tired of running out of space for games on my pc so I decided to go big. I wasn't sure how an external HD was going to work for gaming, but so far this drive has been amazing. I have filled almost 4 TB space with games from Steam, Epic and so forth and so far no performance issues at all.

I bought this for my PS5. It’s the largest capacity the external drive can read. Assuming the game file is 100 gbs, this drive holds up to 80 games before full capacity. I also bought it to store my digital ps4 games and to also play them from the external drive on my ps5. Ps5 games MUST be on the internal drive of the console to work. There is a port in the back of the ps5 to hook up everything to the drive. Power source required
