As a photographer, I'm always in need of large amounts of storage space for high resolution images. When this 10 TB drive was offered on sale for only $159.95 I simply couldn't resist. I have two other Western Digital external drives and they have served me well too. So I was not surprised that the plug and play installation worked flawlessly and backup software installed without a hitch too.

I bought this hoping that this would do the job. I have Dish Network Satellite TV Service - & with this New Portable Hard Drive - I was able to connect to the back of the Satellite DVR Receiver & download all of the movies that I had recorded on the DVR. Worked perfectly. I never knew - that this could be done. I am very happy to have bought the 8 TB hard drive as the DVR is 1 TB - so I can download more movies. Thank you Western Digital and Best Buy. Thank you.

I always buy WD drives because I trust them. They hardly ever fail compared to the other harddrives that I've used both internal and external. I won't share the name of which harddrives I've used in the past that have always failed on me but they do start with a SEA and end with a GATE. IMO WD is pretty trustworthy. I use WD external drives to back up all my digital projects because I do not trust using the cloud. Easystore is simple to use. Plug and play. Gotta love it.

Great capacity external HD. USB 3.0 and easy to install. The extra space makes a huge difference.

Easy to setup, speed is good when copying files, and it is very quiet. Very satisfied.

Works right form the start without any formating and 10 TB of storage is huge and this is the biggest drive I ever owned. I managed to recover everything from my old 3tb drive into this drive and its working flawlessly. Speed looks like its as fast as any of my other PC drives so thats good. I bought one that was slow on the write speed and hated it so I used it on my PS4. It boots up pretty fast as well so another plus.

I am a big fan of WD products; however, I do also like the Seagate products as well. Those are the only 2 I like and feel safe and secure in using. After all, nobody wants to lose data, especially in large quantity such as this 10T monster. It is fast and efficient. I plug it in, transfer data to and from the computer. Then I can unplug it and do the same on another computer or even the smart TV. Great for movies!

Plug and play: via USB. I prefer a large external storage drive as it is usually quicker than a smaller disc drive. And not being a SSD if perchance it crashes then the data is recoverable. Backup is easy - I just copy my entire data file set with a date as filename, once a week and delete the oldest set when the disc starts to fill up. The backup program included wants to do a cloud link and not to the Ext HD so the offer of backup program is misleading. I have a 4 core i7 CPU desktop and it took about 3 hours hours to back up as a direct copy of about 500GB of data (Old USB standard)

You couldn't do better for a large capacity storage device. Fast and easy!

huge storage great price. Got it on sale and it was plug and play.

I keep 2 of these drives running off my laptop at all times. I have one backup from the laptop. The other WD10TB backups from the 1st backup. They operate as mirror images. This redundancy is affordable with this 10TB. I also store on the drive all my software copies, videos that I archive off my laptop, other historic relics from older retired computers, etc. You can find lots of uses with this much space. They instantly start up each time on my Windows 10. This can be an issue with other drives. Other manufacturer's drives eventually disappear and never can be recognized again for some reason. WD has never had that problem on these, or prior WD drives I have owned.

Bought this for backing up my pc, as well as my laptop and it has stored everything in it. At 10TB it's humongous, I yet have a lot of space left, feels like this is enough for a lifetime worth of my data. The usb 3 works flawless giving amazing transfer speeds. Try buying this during offers as the price drops pretty well for this product.

I need to back up my data every night. Microsoft has crashed my computer with every Windows 10 update. I use Macrium Reflect and can restore 500 G Bytes from an image in 1.2 hour. THAT IS EXTREMELY FAST. When that is done the computer is saved from being a brick. ALL AUTOMATIC. I will very certainly buy more of these Hard Drives in the future.

A great storage unit with 10TB that I partitioned into 4 areas for my iMac to use. 2 - 4TB for photo storage and 2 - 1TB for misc file storage and "scratch" disk. This frees up space on the internal SSD and easier to back up the smaller partitions then one big one. And the price made it even better.

I record a lot of video content for my YouTube channel and like to keep it saved for potential future projects. This 10TB tower is excellent for the price. Fast, low profile, and does exactly what I need it to. I have had good experience with Western Digital as a whole.
