Customers often highlight the easystore 10TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive's massive storage capacity, ease of setup, and excellent price. Many also appreciate its convenient USB 3.0 interface and quiet operation. The compact size is another frequently praised aspect. While some users wish for built-in encryption, the positive feedback on other features outweighs this concern.

...for the price, it's definitely worth it. The ease of use, the write speed, and the size of the drive make this an attractive purchase if you need the space. Even if you don't think you'll ever need the space, you might want to consider buying this anyway, because you just never know.

I've had several WD External drives, ranging from 1TB now up to the 12TB External model. Overall these drives are always top notch in terms of quality as well as longevity.
Unboxing is quick and painless with the drive, a USB 3.0 Cable, the Adapter, and the standard guides as well as WD software which can be great for use in setting up backup and managing multiple external drives in your system.
The drives are formatted NTFS so immediately register and work with modern Windows operating systems, however a driver download may be necessary to operate with a MacOS system but once installed it will operate flawlessly.
Once plugged in you can operate with the drive as the standard single partition or you can reformat and break this drive up into multiple partitions as well. Drive is quiet both during idle and read/write operations and the case looks clean and discrete on the shelf without a lot of distracting lights on the front.
Originally I had intended to purchase this and a 12TB to shuck and use the drives internally but I'm quite happy with the enclosure both in form and function so I've decided to leave it intact and use it for its intended purpose.

I bought this when it was on sale. I worried that a 10 TB drive would have problems. So far, it hasn't (~2 months). Transfer speeds are good. I get ~60 Mbps when transferring videos between my laptop and the WD drive. It's quiet and runs cool, even the power brick is only warm after heavy use. The biggest drawback is that it is slow to start up after going to sleep. Other than that, this was a good purchase and is near perfect to store data that I don't worry about losing if it fails (I have NAS for the critical stuff.)

Purchased this 10TB External Hard Drive to use as a back up of another large external hard drives. Have moved photo files to a previously purchased 8TB and have purchased this 10TB to be the back drive for all files on the 8TB. The 3.0 will let this the transfer and back up be efficient. WD is a brand that I have found to be reliable.

The Easystore 10TB has plenty of storage space for everything you need. If you have family pictures, videos, etc stored over flash drives this unit is excellent at getting all the stuff in a safe secure space. I have a number of these hard drives for various uses and they are great. It comes with encryption software but I don’t use it.

Fast external drive when plugged into a USB 3.0 port.
For most people 10TB is more than enough storage for their files and to backup their computers.
I have this 10tb and two 8tb drives to store and backup my photos, music and important files.
Cheap insurance to have a separate backup of non replacable files!

I purchased two of these as backup devices. One worked fine out of the box, the 2nd had to be exchanged because it rattled when I unboxed it. Returned it immediately and replaced it, no issues with the replacement unit. Using them as backup units for my LAN. Usage is light, I intialize on first use and copy bit more than 8TB onto the drive, then unpdate it several times a month. At the end of the month, I store it offsite, and setup a new unit. Works fine so far, speedier that I expected. Am happy with it.

Excellent affordable large drive that is plug and play.
Be careful when purchasing this device though. The one I originally bought had been tampered wit. The drive had been removed and replaced with a much much smaller old drive. Best buy was great at honoring the return though

Plug and play, quiet and I have (thankfully) not had an issue with any of the 5 Easystore external drives I have had over the last few years. Being so large it takes a very long time to fill it with data even over UBS 3! Great value when on sale.

We use this as an in-between backup drive when we need to take large sums of data to another facility. We have not had any issues out of the drive. It's plug and play so anyone can use it. Just need power and a USB 2.0/3.0 port. Although 3.0 is better. I would recommend this item.

Bought this to backup another just like it. Great little unit that has a small imprint. Lots of storage space and easy to use. I haven't had any operating issues with these and they run most of the time. Would recommend and will probably be buying more when they are on sale.

I found just the right external hard drive to back up my old laptop information from thousands of pictures to hundreds of documents and correspondences since my old laptop is crapping out, and got this at a sale price! It took less than 5 minutes to back up everything from a laptop that I had for 14 years.

The WD Easystore is a slightly bigger housing then the WD Elements and unlike the elements, doesn't have a power switch. Other than that, they seem to contain the same 5400 rpm drive types internally and same USB 3 connections. As BB often has these on sale, they can be a great buy. I only wish WD would start making these with storage up to the latest 16TB drive sizes. Lets face it, spinning rust has a limited lifespan left, but who can afford 16TB of NVME SSD at this time. :)
BTW, for those wondering, I use these with numerous Linux systems both with native filesystems and reformatted to ext4 and others. Don't let the PC/Mac compatibility scare you off.

love this 10TB external harddrive. easy to setup and use. however, am a little disappointed that the WD Security software can not encrypt the harddrive as it is not supported. you will have to use a 3rd party software. Veracrypt was nice but man was encrypting the drive time consuming

Tons of storage for a good price. Nice!
Easy to use. Mine is connected to my Win 10 PC though a USB connection on the back of my WIn 10 PC. Win 10 runs the backups to it automatically. It works silently and so far no issues are noted.
