Easy to setup and use External 12TB USB Hard Drive from Western Digital. I have used it with a Windows 10 Laptop and a Smart Android TV.

It does what I needed - expanded storage on my computer. It's quiet, connects easily.

Does what you expect it to do, huge storage worth the money. I'm running plex on a laptop and have more than 2,000 movies on this drive.

Exactly what we needed and it's not too bulky. We can fit it in the office nicely and back up our storage there!

So Far it's working perfectly. I expect it will continue that way based on other WD Externals I have.

Nothing like having a lot of storage for for your personal information. Love western digital

Works great. Actually transfers data faster over USB 3.0 than some of my internal SATA drives. Does not seem to run hot. Very happy so far.

This is just a great value. I recommend you do not purchase one so that there is always one in stock if I need another.

I've been using these drives for a couple of months and i'm very happy with the performance. I highly recommend these drives.

I have used Western Digital drives for years to back up my photographic files. I haven't had one fail yet and I rely on that success.

I have bought 3 of these external hard drives. They are very fast when transferring data, and I have not had any problems with any of them.

Has a weird tendency to open up "This PC" and show its active -- so I think its going to sleep, and when it wakes up, it opens up the main folder. I don't think it should do that & seems to be a bug or its Windows 10 treating it like a USB thumbdrive (open up the main files location). If anyone has a tip how to modify that behavior, please let me know. But otherwise it works perfectly. My only concern is that for 12 TB, that's a lot of data to lose -- and these kinds of drives aren't the best, they aren't the most robust. Which means it WILL FAIL at some point. Could be 1 year, could be 3 years. But very likely within 5 years. So I bought 2 of them. The way I will use it is that 1 will backup my main computer files (redundancy for everything), and the 2nd will backup my long-term storage files (which will be on both & my PC, as long as my PC has room). In this way, the most recent important files are on 3 locations, but I'm only backing up ALL my files to one of the drives. Just my photography & certain important docs will go on the 2nd drive. Eventually 1 drive will fail or fill up, and then it'll be time to get another one in couple years. I bought this for Black Friday, when it was a really really good deal; if you can't get it at that deal or around there, then probably best to wait for WD to release their 20 TB drive in 2020, after which the 12 TB should come down in price a bit.

Best price on the internet at the time of purchase. Bought the 3TB version 3 years ago and it’s still going sting after heavy use.

For the first time in my life I was able to back up my computer and format not only the external hard drive, but all my external hard drives, thumb drives and SSD disks to work on both Mac's and windows based computers. I was also able to add partitions for back ups, music and personal documents in order to make it easier to work with. Each with separate names for ease of use. Awesome.

I have been using this for a year as an archival drive continuously plugged into a Windows 10 desktop and it's still working as it should. Has a read/write speed of about 140 MB/S on a USB 3.0 connection and will show up in Windows 10 as 10.9TB of storage because Windows 10 uses binary units vs WD's decimal units to express the same amount of storage.

Let's face it - in today's environment with programs and data taking up more and more of your hard drive space, we need to back up our data because Murphy lives (and I know it). This 12TB choice is great one, especially at the price (it was a deal of the day). Simply to install and use while offering a lot of backup space. A great back for anyone's system.

Fast read/write speeds over USB, no issues for the last few months of operation, quiet operation.

This is my second one of these I have bought from best buy. I'm now able to store more files and do away with two 4 TB drives I've been using.

Western digital has never let me down. This hard drive works excellent. Good price for plenty of storage
