Have easy 75+ purchased from DVR to cold storage, from temp controlled clean rooms to industrial applications. Maybe 2 failed over the last 10yrs+.

If you need to store a large volume of data this drive is a great price for 18TB. This type of drive is ideal for home or office use but since they are a physical drive that is sensitive to bumps, drops, and vibrations I do not recommend using them if you are a traveling warrior.

Slightly noisier than my 14TB WDC easy stores I've bought recently so I'm checking to see if this is an issue with this drive or just the 18TB drives in general. Not as good a value price wise vs the 14TB WDC easystore but tolerable. FWIW. I also like the venting on the easystore family vs a similarly priced Seagate drive I own which doesnt have enough side vents for heat dissipation and seems to run hotter.

I'm very happy drives of this size are available. It's helping me archive projects properly for my work. Western Digital has always been a trusted brand for me and in my experience.

Holiday sale, so the price was very good considering the amount of storage available. I still remember that my 1st 1 TeraByte external harddrive was $200+! Now 18 times that is approximately the same price.

Amazed how such a small device to have a very large storage. Times have changed and so does your storage needs.

I'm very happy with this HD. It holds a ton of photos and is relatively fast, and quiet. I've had it a couple weeks now and it has functioned perfectly.

This hard drive is great for storing movie files. I am a video producer and have to be able to securely backup of movies and video files.

I got this for ~$200, and at that price this is a good deal, but don't leave it running next to you. It can produce some annoying noises and vibrations.

l like the storage capacity and easy transfer of documents, games, and video. I just wish the storage capacity was exactly what it is advertised. I know software for hardware takes up some of the storage space!!

Excellent Hard Drive i needed for my system backups

It is exactly what it says it is--plug and play large hard drive. Fanless and silent and a nice benefit to have mac NTFS read/write driver included for interoperability with windows.

awesome product, have 3 external drives that are difficult to manage data between the three, but having a 18tb on one location is terrific. the old drives i now use for backups for the 18tb...drive is perfect.

This external hard drive is both fast working and very quiet. It has worked perfectly with my desktop work computer, as a place to archive and manage backed-up files.

It's really a little over 14 TB according to Windows storage panel which caused it to lose a star. It now has no issues when connecting. I have it on the same UPS as the PC. Once I turned off Windows USB power management (that would sleep the port) it would stay connected and ready. I moved OneDrive over to it to avoid running out of room on the main drive. I also have other cloud storage accounts and videos I save of twitch streams. I picked it up when it was on sale. I would buy it again at that price.

This was the only item I purchased from Best Buy that was actually a quality product. Works great easy to setup and would purchase this item again just not from Best Buy.

It took a little bit to figure out and i had to get a cord from my cables drawer. to connect it to my computer but it works well. for storage and the such it also does not draw alot of power all in all good buy...best buy??

I needed more than the small 5 TB drives that keep running out of space for video. This works perfectly and now all my video is in one place. (LOL)
