Western Digital Hard Drives are the best.

I've had othe name brands that have failed time and time. My Western Digital's haven't failed yet. Been using them for a very long time.

Dependable drive

It has worked nicely. (in use about 6 months). I've used mostly 14TB and 8 TB Easystore units like this one for local backups for years without a problem (except for one that fell off a shelf -- so don't let that happen...).

WESTERN DIGITAL FOR THE WIN

These are great drives with a lot of capacity and all of my WD drives have a longer lifespan than any other brand.

Big and noisy!

Photo File Backup!

The WD Easystore 18TB answered that need. Once my files are backed-up, the WD Easystore goes into a fireproof safe. I plan on purchasing a second one soon!

Massive storage capacity, reliable connection over USB, and no beats skipped despite backup of nearly 10tb nightly. Well worth the price, especially when on sale.

Good Backup for mass storage

Only problem I have is after transfering files for about 3 hours temps reached 55 degrees. I recommend using external fans to keep it cool.
