It stores well but has heated up twice during usage (thus, I am unsure just how long the unit will hold data). I recommend that reviews be two fold: a) first one being within 2 weeks of usage and b) second one done at 8-12 months.

Great for tranferring files

A Best Buy associate explained everything to me and even gave me instructions on how to do it. I purchased the WD easy store 1 TB external USB 3.0 external hard drive . I am so glad that I did! Not only did this drive allow me to transfer my files quickly and so easy, it now serves as my weekly back up !
