Gotta love the "Deal of the Day" thing! As for the drive itself, it's perfect for taking stuff on the go. It's small enough to fit a shirt pocket and yet (the version I got) can store 1 trillion characters. That's about 233 4 GB Dvd. So, whether you're an author writing the next "War and Peace" or a shutterbug who needs a place to offload your photos, or whatever, this is a great product.

Good price, good product. This spins up and stores data safely. Lasts a good long time. This is the second one I have, and never a problem.

So far fast and reliable, I always have more than one to have backups of my files.

This hard drive is really good for the price. Upon initial setup, there are some software things that need to be installed on your Microsoft device before you can begin to use it (to help the hard drive work easier). Once the software installs on your device, its very easy to use. This hard drive was very easy to use and setup, so I bought one for my Xbox One S to use to expand the storage on it. For the price, it's well worth looking into buying. Highly recommend

It was super easy to set up, basically plus and play. Holds all my files from my design business and I love how portable it is! I will definitely buy another one is I need more storage

Easy installation and use. Haven't had any issues. Came in handy for back up when one of my computer boards went out and most was on the removable drive.

Never knew how much I needed an external storage device until my computer almost broke down. This device is easy to use, affordable and much needed.

I needed a backup drive at the last minute so I flew up to Bestbuy and found this drive for under $50 for 1tb. Didn’t break the bank, is usb 3.0 and got the job done. I owned the older model of this drive where they used a different usb port that requires a flat flimsy usb plug that has so much play in it that the cord tension can cause flex on the plug and crash the drive. I’m glad they redesigned the usb port on these drives to use a chunkier and stronger port so this issue no longer exists.

For product itself, Five Stars. It has excellent storage capacity for the cost and a nice & low physical profile. The caveat: Geek Squad support was needed to install it.

Full disclosure: I only used this to transfer data when I replaced my laptop. But it worked pretty well for that. Setting it up was as easy as plugging it in, just like using a common thumb drive. I think I remember it taking probably 2-5 hours to transfer 200-400GB of data? That's probably too big a range to be useful, but I do remember being pleased that it didn't take all night. So, transfer speeds not too bad...I think. I haven't really used a lot of other brands, or done many other high-capacity data transfers before. But anyway, overall, I had no issues, everything worked exactly as it should have. What more can you really ask for?

There is no doubt that the WD-Easystore External Hard drive is a well-put-together drive. Plenty of space and compact simply perfect.

My 4 year old hp laptop was slowing down and installing this SSD hard drive improved my speed and increased my internal storage. It is working really well and the improved speed is noticeable!

This hard drive works great. Compact size and good storage capacity. Used it to store photos to free up space on my laptop.

I have had several Western Digital Passport External drives and they travel well and are perfect for system backups (I use mine for both of my laptops). I have always had excellent experiences with these drives (both 1 TB and 2 TBs varieties).

Great product, this is a light weight hard drive perfect for college when your computer needs more space. Great plug and play feature. Very portable

I have bought several of these WD external drives over the years. I have found them very reliable and easy to use. This one will be used with my Dish Network Wally reciever as a DVR .
