For the cheap price, this thing is very reliable and hasn’t failed me yet. I use it as a TimeMachine backup and I think the WD drive is a good fit.

Affordable and reliable storage for use with laptop and computer!

lots of storage and quick transfers. i was able to transfer my files from an old pc to this and i barely used any space even though it was a massive folder.

Great little storage device. Just plug it in and save all your videos and photos. I use mine for music. It's fast and have not had any problems so far.

I purchased this hard drive to transfer files from my old computer to my new computer. Everything went quickly and easily. This drive has plenty memory, so I'll probably never fill it. Instead of transferring the files to the new computer, I've decided to just work from this drive. It brings up the files quickly and is easy to work from. Great purchase for a great price. It was on sale during black Friday.

i digitized all of my family movies and photos last year. I backed them up to this device in case of CPU crash or other “disaster” - it hasn’t failed me yet and it’s great to be able to take it along when I go to see family out of state and show them these precious memories… iI’ve also been able to add a few to it from their CPU libraries. So nice to have this digital catalog along with me.

Great price! Plenty of storage for my pics and videos. Fast transfers to and from computer! Nice, compact design makes it easy to store or travel with!

It does the job of a peripheral storage device in that you can copy data to the device and move the device between computers just like a thumb drive. However, the software is disappointing. I tried to set up auto backups on two separate computers and I got an error message that the storage device was full even though it had almost all the available storage capacity empty when you checked the devices "properties". If you manually backup, copy or save, it works just fine. Maybe I could have worked it out but I think these devices should be "plug and play" and shouldn't need extra time or effort to correct malfunctions to make them work. I would have given it five stars if it wasn't for the software auto backup issue.

Very glad I purchased this. Easy set up and back up for my computer. Saves a ton of space and now I have all my work in one place.

Portable hard drive is very small and it has allow enough storage for all my pictures videos iand Files

I've bought two of these and they work great. If you're looking for a good external drive that's not super expensive, this is the best option.

This is the second of these external hard drives I've bought. They are easy to use (I don't use the software since I have a separate imaging application) and a great price when they're on sale.

I it is good and worth the money. It is a bit heavy dangling off my Mac laptop but I enjoy it. It is a lot of memory for the price and fast.
