Got the drive, it was used during the repair and now I have an external driver that I can store pictures and other information on. Took quite a few bytes off my laptop.

For my son's gaming

He has a laptop that is dedicated solely to gaming (Steam) online, and he is burning through his computer's memory pretty fast. This external hard drive will keep him up and running for quite a while. I have this same hard drive on my computers at work and at home, and I've never had a problem. I highly recommend this brand. The software is very "user-friendly," too.

Essential for backing up files

I didn't have an available 3.0 usb slot, so I used 2.0. It works just fine, not slow at all. I recommend not using the software links that are included with the machine. Go directly to their website to download software. That way, you'll get the updated version.
